Al Gore Emerges From Hiding (sort of)

Al Gore has been keeping a low-profile ever since the mounting climate scandals that occurred before and after Copenhagen, where he was embarrassed by a typical alarmist exaggeration that was, once again, exposed as a lie by climate skeptics (a.k.a., "deniers"). He's been challenged for years to debate credible authorities and scientists on CO2's role in climate warming, but he usually manages to elude any forum that isn't tightly controlled by his thugs and political operatives.

He was shredded by Apple's stock holders just the other day for his global warming orthodoxy in the face of all these scandals, even though he was reelected to Apple's board (no surprise there...Apple is run by left-leaning folks out on the Left Coast).

So, feeling the need to respond to all the criticism, what does Al Gore do? He writes an OP-ED piece for the liberal New York Times, of course. Since no one can answer him directly in an opinion piece, I will take this opportunity to respond to his bullshit (trite and repetitive) below, point-by-point. And there's no way I could do a better job than some of the great skeptical scientists out there. But here goes...

But unfortunately, the reality of the danger we are courting has not been changed by the discovery of at least two mistakes in the thousands of pages of careful scientific work over the last 22 years by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. In fact, the crisis is still growing because we are continuing to dump 90 million tons of global-warming pollution every 24 hours into the atmosphere — as if it were an open sewer.

[From Op-Ed Contributor - We Can’t Wish Away Climate Change - NYTimes.com]

Just two mistakes? Careful scientific work? Carbon is global warming pollution that's making our atmosphere into a sewer? Sorry, Al, but you're ignoring the mound of scandals recently revealed. There weren't just a few mistakes. There were many, along with multiple instances of unethical scientific practices.

But the scientific enterprise will never be completely free of mistakes. What is important is that the overwhelming consensus on global warming remains unchanged.

Hey, thanks for finally admitting that there are mistakes and errors in the evidence that, according to you, proves "thuh duh-bate is over." What's important to examine is the nature of these "mistakes." These aren't just mistakes; they're blatant attempts to politicize a supposedly scientific report by scattering it with "evidence" that amounts to nothing more than propaganda and fear.

There's that word consensus again. That's Al Gore's (and many alarmists') favorite tactic of deflection when attempting to avoid debate. But the 'overwhelming consensus' is a lie. Even if it was true, consensus opinion has nothing to do with real science, as history has shown us again and again. The maverick in science (like Galileo) is usually proved correct when confronting the consensus's foregone conclusion.

And furthermore (if there were a consensus), does anyone out there REALLY believe this group of politically-connected believers remains UNCHANGED? The so-called consensus is running for the hills because of all the scrutiny. On the contrary, the "consensus" is QUITE changed, Al.

[The panel's scientists] probably underestimated the range of sea-level rise in this century...

That's not what this article just said. Scientists have just withdrawn some of the estimates of supposed human-induced sea-rising. More fallout from the scandals, because now people are paying attention and not just accepting what these climate fear mongers say anymore.

For example, January was seen as unusually cold in much of the United States. Yet from a global perspective, it was the second-hottest January since surface temperatures were first measured 130 years ago.

Actually, the idiots said this January was the warmest on-record...not second warmest (get your facts straight, Al). Temperature records of 130 years should be, to any scientist, a problem when discerning longterm climate patterns and using them to make predictions. First, how accurate were the records of 130 years ago? They're not even accurate today (see reasons why here). Second, it's a statistical no-no to look at such a small range of time (130 years) to pronounce climate doom, considering the climate history of Earth spans of 4.5-billion years.

Similarly, even though climate deniers have speciously argued for several years that there has been no warming in the last decade, scientists confirmed last month that the last 10 years were the hottest decade since modern records have been kept.

Really? Did the alarmist scientists confirm this assertion the same way they've unethically confirmed everything else related to global warming? We can see that they're track record of unethical behavior runs deep and goes back at least 10 years.

Since we've already inserted the obligatory, debate-avoiding word consensus, let's make sure we use the Holocaust-doubting, ad hominem rejoinder and call us climate skeptics "deniers." Yes, a certain subset of alarmist scientists did just, laughably, make the claim that 2000 through 2009 was the warmest decade "on-record." However, disgraced IPCC scientist Phil Jones (CRU scandal) recently admitted that there has been no warming in 15 years, and he even--FINALLY--admitted that there was probably a global medieval warm period and even other earlier periods of global warming in Earth's history that preceded the industrial age. Therefore, the Earth has warmed in the distant past for reasons other than those extolled by you, Al, oh great 'creator of Internet.'

...yet scientists have long pointed out that warmer global temperatures have been increasing the rate of evaporation from the oceans, putting significantly more moisture into the atmosphere — thus causing heavier downfalls of both rain and snow in particular regions, including the Northeastern United States.

This is the warming-causes-cooling-and-warming tactic used in climate revisionism, and not ALL scientists have agreed with this. There are many problems with this assertion, but let's just take one that flies in the face of something Al just said a few paragraphs ago. If increased evaporation due to warming has caused all this darn record snow (and record freezing cold), rain, and tropical cyclones we've seen, wouldn't that increased evaporation also prevent the seas from rising? (Which, itself, has already been debunked.) The problem is that you and your ilk have long used empirical evidence when it suits your propaganda needs (i.e., supposed empirical weather events that you associate with climate warming). When antithetical weather appears, you either claim that La Nina is involved (that's masking warming) or you ridiculously claim that the cold weather is being caused by warming. That's what I call climate revisionism. It's called "global warming"...not "regional warming, when it suits my theory."

Here is what scientists have found is happening to our climate: man-made global-warming pollution traps heat from the sun and increases atmospheric temperatures. These pollutants — especially carbon dioxide — have been increasing rapidly with the growth in the burning of coal, oil, natural gas and forests, and temperatures have increased over the same period. Almost all of the ice-covered regions of the Earth are melting — and seas are rising. Hurricanes are predicted to grow stronger and more destructive, though their number is expected to decrease. Droughts are getting longer and deeper in many mid-continent regions, even as the severity of flooding increases. The seasonal predictability of rainfall and temperatures is being disrupted, posing serious threats to agriculture. The rate of species extinction is accelerating to dangerous levels.

But Al...is there a such thing as a 'saturation point'? Is there a point where increasing CO2 no longer makes a difference (i.e., holds in no more heat)? There are scientists (you haven't talked with) who agree that there is such a physical state in the atmosphere. The fact is that there is no evidence that current CO2 levels (rising though they are) are contributing to warming. Even the IPCC's erroneous, award-winning report only allots that CO2 is "probably" causing observed warming. "Probably" in science DOES NOT cut it. CO2 is a minor greenhouse gas STILL, even in its presently increasing concentration. Also, our data show that tropospheric warming (i.e., in the atmosphere) has not occurred (increasing CO2 has not warmed this part of the atmosphere as predicted); all of the "warming" has been attributed to the surface level, and the temperature collection methods at the surface are problematic.

CO2 is a 'pollutant'? You're exhaling it right now with your big, fat head, Al. That means you're contaminating my atmosphere! Never mind that plants MUST HAVE CO2 to provide us with O2; even grade school science students can understand photosynthesis.

Extinctions have NOT accelerated. The last part of this bullshit paragraph falls back onto the same trite fear tactics. See the GASP! series and warmlist if you want to scare yourself to death; you can read about the THOUSANDS of ills attributed to manmade warming. Once you read them all, you'll start giggling to yourself if you have half a brain, because it's obvious how much of an overreach it all is.

The common denominator of Al's proselytizing is FEAR. Everything he writes or states is DRIPPING with fear. If you need to hear more fear on animals, read our Animal Death Watch series too.

So, where has Al Gore been? Well, just read the articles. Welcome back, Al. We DID NOT miss your stupid crap.

Al Gore won a Nobel Prize and an Oscar for his film, An Inconvenient Truth. But in the last three months, as global warming has gone from a scientific near-certitude to the subject of satire, Gore -- the public face of global warming -- has been silent on the topic.

The former vice president apparently finds it inconvenient even to answer calls to testify before the U.S. Senate. You can call him Al . . . but he won't call back.

[From FOXNews.com - You Can Call Him Al ... But Al Won't Call You Back]

Al Gore has been found. The former vice president and green guru has been MIA since the end of December, but he cropped up to be abused at the Apple stockholders meeting in Cupertino, Calif. Gore has been missing conveniently during the same period where climate scientists have come under increased scrutiny for bogus claims, doctored science and use of propaganda. Gore, the Nobel Peace Prize and Oscar winner was last seen on CBS in late December. While the TV outlets have been running archival footage of the climate advocate, he hasn’t been interviewed on air throughout the controversy.

He’s still been on the receiving end of many jokes during that time. Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., said on Twitter: “It's going to keep snowing in D.C. until Al Gore cries ‘uncle.’” GOP Sen. James Inhofe’s grandkids built an igloo on the National Mall, naming it “Al Gore’s New Home.”

Now even Apple shareholders are unhappy with the Goreacle, delivering “harsh comments about former Vice President Al Gore’s record,” according to CNET. One shareholder said Gore shouldn’t be reelected to the Apple board, saying Gore “has become a laughingstock. The glaciers have not melted,” reported CNET. Gore didn’t respond directly, but his spot in the front row indicates his hibernation may be ending.

Gore: No nukes or petrol in 10 years!

Trying to compare Al Gore to Kennedy seems like trying to compare Darth Vader to Luke Skywalker; this goo-goo-eyed, Gore-lovin' AP reporter is making a bit of stretch. However, Gore’s right about a few things in this piece: First, Obama and McCain are both climate change believers, so we’re stuck there; the best for which we can hope is that McCain can be dissuaded from his stupidity once elected. And second, we do need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil for national security reasons. Other than that, Gore goes skipping down Tree-hugger Lane while spouting his usual, trite alarmist rants and overly optimistic views on the potential of renewable energy.

These non-nuclear, non-petrol solutions (i.e., wind and solar) are not efficient enough to replace current demand, and they’re very expensive to implement. I’m not saying we shouldn’t pursue these alternatives, but we should DIVERSIFY our energy sources. In other words, don’t put all your eggs in one basket! Let’s do nuclear, oil, coal, solar, and wind! Forget this global warming nonsense; let’s get real and do something positive for our security and economy, instead of scaring people with a nonexistent problem.

Senator Voinovich in the article below this one puts it much better than I ever could! And let's not forget Al Gore's prediction of doom which he made in January 2006...can't wait to see if that one holds true. We now have only seven years left to survive global warming.

Gore sets 'moon shot' goal on climate change

WASHINGTON (AP) - Just as John F. Kennedy set his sights on the moon, Al Gore is challenging the nation to produce every kilowatt of electricity through wind, sun and other Earth-friendly energy sources within 10 years, an audacious goal he hopes the next president will embrace.

The Nobel Prize-winning former vice president said fellow Democrat Barack Obama and Republican rival John McCain are "way ahead" of most politicians in the fight against global climate change.

Rising fuel costs, climate change and the national security threats posed by U.S. dependence on foreign oil are conspiring to create "a new political environment" that Gore said will sustain bold and expensive steps to wean the nation off fossil fuels.

***

"This is an investment that will pay itself back many times over," Gore said. "It's an expensive investment but not compared to the rising cost of continuing to invest in fossil fuels."

Called an alarmist by conservatives, Gore has made combatting global warming his signature issue, a campaign that has been recognized worldwide - from an Academy Award to a Nobel Prize. He portrayed Thursday's speech as the latest and most important phase in his effort to build public opinion in favor of alternative fuels.

He knows politicians fear to act unless voters are willing to sacrifice - and demand new fuels.

The Hill's Blog Briefing Room » Voinovich Finds Gore's Energy Speech 'Ridiculous':

You can consider Sen. George Voinovich (R-Ohio) as definitely not enthused by former Vice President Al Gore's speech Thursday on U.S. energy policy.

Voinovich had an initial one-word response — "ridiculous" — to Gore's speech at Washington's Constitution Hall, in which the Democrat called for the United States to end its dependence on carbon-based fuels and begin using renewable energy to produce electricity within the next 10 years.

Voinovich elaborated that ruling out carbon-based fuels such as coal would be unreasonable because of the country's vast energy and economic needs. Instead, he said the country should take a multi-pronged approach that includes but doesn't rely solely on nuclear, wind and solar power.

"We could put windmills from the Atlantic to the Pacific and, yes, it will increase the amount of carbon-free energy production, but the fact of the matter is, it's not going to get the job done," Voinovich said. "What we need to do is to look at all of the various sources of energy… We'd be much more realistic to realize that it's going to take all of these things in order for us to meet our energy demands."

GASP!: Gore's Divorce to Enhance Global Warming in CA

It's not enough that Al Gore is buying a new, huge, energy-sucking, multimillion dollar home on the CA coast (a coast he claims will be inundated by floods caused by global warming). No, Al must contradict himself and his minions, even further, by getting divorced from Tipper. And as you can see below in CNET news (from the Green Nazis), divorce increases global warming (that doesn't exist...because these people are stupid-assed morons).

At least it's obvious that Gore knows he's full of it. Fitting that Al Gore is moving to the Left Coast, because his native Tennessee has rejected his stupid, liberal, militant, hypocritical environmentalism. I'm sure he's tired of being mocked.

Make sure you check out the GASP! series and warmlist to see the level of ridiculousness to which we've risen.

As if the burden of divorce weren't bad enough, people with failed marriages can be blamed for global warming, according to a study by Michigan State University.

Divorced couples use up more space in their respective homes, which amounts to to 38 million more rooms worldwide to light, heat and cool, noted the report.

And people who divorced used 73 billion kilowatt-hours more of electricity and 627 billion gallons of water than they would otherwise in 2005.

[From Divorce pains the planet | Green Tech - CNET News]

Reporting from Washington — They were the happy exceptions — high school sweethearts whose passionate romance led to a famously stable marriage in a capital perpetually rocked by tawdry scandals and sleazy affairs.

But on Tuesday, less than a month after they marked their 40th wedding anniversary, former Vice President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, announced they were breaking up.

[From Al and Tipper Gore announce separation - latimes.com]

How inconvenient is this news? Former vice president Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, bought a gated $8,875,000 ocean-view villa in Montecito, Calif., where Oprah Winfrey also owns a mansion, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Gore, author of the best seller An Inconvenient Truth about the dangers of global warming, received much criticism for the high electric use of his 10,000-square-foot historic home in Nashville. He says he's added 33 rooftop solar panels and seven geothermal wells and buys only renewable energy.

Weather Channel Founder: Sue Al Gore for Fraud

Theweatherchannel

Here's one that was never reported anywhere really, except FOX News. This fact proves the story's level of devastation. Heidi Cullen, alarm-o-scientist extraordinaire at The Weather Channel, gets more attention than this guy? John Coleman, first weatherman of ABC's Good Morning America, created The Weather Channel! Should we give him a little attention or credence? Or should we follow Cullen's advice and pull his accreditation for daring to question AGW? Coleman recently called manmade global warming the "greatest scam in history."

He's being ignored because they want his level-headedness to go away. Remember? No debate allowed! Especially in a highly visible forum like a court case that the media will be FORCED to cover.

We can't start swaying the hypnotized believers now...we've got 50% of the public convinced that AGW is real so far! The grant money is coming in for additional research; people are buying stupid, mercury-tainted light bulbs; the U.N. keeps exclaiming doom each year (even though the temperatures have gone down); and people are close to accepting more government control worldwide to solve "the manmade problem."

Is Al Gore committing fraud with his carbon credit company (where he buys credits from himself to offset his own gluttonous energy use)? The answer there is a big ol' YES! Let's not forget the fraud of his film, his Nobel Prize fraud, and the Oscar fraud (which really isn't fraud considering from where that came). Remember, solutions to global warming WILL NOT HURT RICH ELITES like Al Gore; the poor and middle classes of the world will bear the price and tax burden to solve this nonexistent problem. We're already seeing it with the price of food.

Read more of Coleman's great work here, and in his excellent white paper entitled, "Comments on Global Warming." And keep in mind, Dr. Cullen hangs out with the likes of Al Gore, Dr. Hansen
Heidicullen
at NASA, and other members of the alarmist political hierarchy; she's the one who stated that any meteorologist not believing in global warming should lose their official recognition by the AMS. How's that for trying to silence those who want to DEBATE you??!! She's also the one claiming that global warming isn't political at all. Don't be duped by the little bug-eyed, toothy weather cutie at The Weather Channel.

FOXNews.com - Weather Channel Founder: Sue Al Gore for Fraud - Science News | Science & Technology | Technology News:

The founder of the Weather Channel wants to sue Al Gore for fraud, hoping a legal debate will settle the global-warming debate once and for all.

John Coleman, who founded the cable network in 1982, suggests suing for fraud proponents of global warming, including Al Gore, and companies that sell carbon credits.

"Is he committing financial fraud? That is the question," Coleman said.

PETA mad at Al for chewing on a cow

1187414026409
Remember? Cow farts are deadly!

Why question just Al Gore’s diet? Why not point out all the other hypocrisies associated with his climate crusade, such as his excessive home energy use and his use of private jets to travel the world in order to give his several-thousand-dollar PowerPoint presentation on how WE AMERICANS can cut back to save Earth? Eating a hunk of meat is the least of Al’s contradictions. Of course, there’s also the fact that he’s scientifically wrong about AGW, as are his ridiculous predictions of doom.

Al says the “law must change” when it comes to the climate, and this really gets at the heart of what he’s after. He’s a politician, and politicians need a dire situation—real or imagined—to accumulate power through lawmaking. New laws rarely, if ever, require fewer resources from you—the average American, which means you can plan on opening your wallet up.

Global warming for Al means relevancy and cash (ahem, his carbon credit business). What were some of Al’s previous campaigns requiring governmental action and the wastage of your tax dollars? Stamping out $80 hammers, ozone holes, and obscene pop music lyrics (remember Tipper Gore's PMRC?). Once AGW is a forgotten crusade, he’ll find another cause; crafty politicians always do. Don’t be dumb, America.

FOXNews.com - Pop Tarts: Exclusive: Not So Earth-Friendly? Activists Attack Al Gore - Celebrity Gossip | Entertainment News | Arts And Entertainment:

LOS ANGELES — Look out, Al Gore ... People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals says you are refusing to face one very "inconvenient truth."

On Monday, the animal rights organization launched the campaign offsetalgore.com (conveniently timed for Earth Day) in an attempt to counter the effects that they say the former vice president's meat-laden diet has on Mother Nature.

While reps for Gore had no comment, Pop Tarts confirmed with people who have worked with the ex-veep that he loves his steak and sausage, plus he was notorious for chowing down on the almost all-meat Atkins diet during his run for president.

Gore launches "NEW" climate campaign?

You mean Al Gore was not ALREADY on an advocacy campaign for manmade climate change?! What the heck was his dumb movie? What the heck is that boatload of hot air permeating from his oral orifice on a near weekly basis via the media spotlight? Why is the media helping him create this illusion that this “NEW” campaign is somehow different from the one we’ve been witnessing for years? I guess this "new" campaign is for those of you tired of the old one.

Why won’t Al Gore—a cult-anointed climatologist—debate some of the smartest people in climate science, like Dr. Richard Lindzen, a climate scientist from MIT and fellow AGW skeptic? I know why. Because Gore's no authority whatsoever; he would have his shorts handed to him in a real scientific debate with a real scientist, because this ain’t politics, baby, though lately it’s getting harder to discern the difference between science and politics.

We deniers (those who are RIGHT ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE) need a fiscal benefactor to help us fight this load of bull. However, everyone with money in the debate is on the profiteering side of global warming, so we’ll likely be in for a long wait. We’re just going to have to wait for Mother Nature to continue to make buffoons of these alarmists in the way that this winter season did. Hopefully, Al Gore will still be alive by the time AGW is accepted as an undeniable hoax by a greater number of people than currently present in the skeptical ranks; then maybe someone will smarten up and sue his butt like John Coleman suggests.

Wouldn't that $300M be better served towards something real, like AIDS or the homeless?

Gore Launches Ambitious Advocacy Campaign on Climate:

Former vice president Al Gore will launch a three-year, $300 million campaign Wednesday aimed at mobilizing Americans to push for aggressive reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, a move that ranks as one of the most ambitious and costly public advocacy campaigns in U.S. history.

Carbon-filled Al Gore Bellows More

When will this carbon-spewing, hypocritical nitwit go away? He's managed to sully the Nobel Prize and the Oscars simply by being a committee-entrancing recipient. He really needs a new niche.

Has anyone noticed how large Al Gore has gotten lately? I mean really...he's HUGE; he has really packed on the fat since he lost the election 9 years ago (yes, I said lost...not robbed of). Do you know out of what fat is primarily composed? That's right...strings and strings of CARBON ATOMS chained together. As a matter of fact, fats and oils are almost 100% carbon, with a little hydrogen thrown in.

Al Gore is a walking, farting environmental carbon disaster, according to his own definition.

And then he consumes enough energy (at his home and in his travels) to power a small city, all while buying carbon credits from his own business to make himself feel better (and richer). He needs the money, though, to buy more steak dinners.

Gore calls on world business leaders to push for climate deal

NEW YORK -- Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore on Sunday urged a gathering of more than 500 business leaders to push for a global agreement on curbing global warming pollution, saying "Mother Nature does not do bailouts."

"The market signals on energy are badly misleading and wrong. We do not take into account the cost of pollution," Gore told the meeting of chief executives from global industry giants, including PepsiCo Inc.

"If there is no cost to be paid for the indiscriminate dumping of pollution into the earth's atmosphere, then it should be a surprise to no one that today we will dump another 70 million tons of global warming pollution into the thin shell of atmosphere surrounding our planet," Gore said.

Gore Insults Churchill

In essence, Gore is calling himself Churchill (he only wishes he was a fourth of the leader that Churchill was) and seeks to imply that climate skeptics are subject to brainwashing much like the German public was seduced by the Nazis.

This latest exclamation from Gore is so full of monkey-moron-horse-crap that I’m having trouble deciding where to start. First, attempting to call climate skeptics ‘ignorant’ when you’re the biggest ignoramus to ever receive a Nobel Prize is fairly hypocritical. Second, comparing skeptics’ doubt of manmade climate change to the world’s blindness to Hitler in the 1930s and 40s is equally stupid and illogical.

Why? Because Hitler was a REAL THREAT who KILLED MILLIONS. Global warming is NOT REAL and has KILLED NO ONE! Why won’t Al Gore debate a scientific authority on climate? If he’s so brilliant, surely he could hold his own. I’m sure his Power Point slides would do the trick; they were enough to convince some REAL IGNORAMUSES that Gore deserved a Nobel Prize and Oscar.

On the contrary, Gore avoids debate whenever he can and seeks sycophants who will make him feel good about his own stupid scam.

Al Gore invokes spirit of Churchill in battle against climate change

Al Gore invoked the spirit of Winston Churchill yesterday when he urged political leaders to follow the example of Britain’s wartime leader in the battle against climate change.

The former US Vice-President accused governments around the world of exploiting ignorance about the dangers of global warming to avoid taking difficult decisions.

****

Mr Gore admitted that it was difficult to persuade the public that the threat from climate change was as urgent as that from Hitler.

GW Deniers = Holocaust Deniers???!!!

AlgoreonfireGlobal warming (excuse me, "climate change") is the new religion of the American and World Left, complete with its own messiah in the form of Al Gore, the self-proclaimed "inventor of the Internet." They love their messiah and his message of industrial-hate so much that they gave him a Nobel Prize and Oscar for his farcical AGW film and faithful advocacy.

It's so much of a religion that Al "Gore-Christ" tells us that "the time for debate is over." But any REAL scientist will tell you that science never stops debating and searching; in science, debate is never over, especially when it comes to certain questionable theories--like "man-made" climate change, for example. What does the Gore-Christ really want? He wants what any politician wants--power, and the best way to leverage power is to create more social bureaucracy (the "Government" wants to save you from yourself because you're too stupid to know any better).

Gore and his followers want "debate to be over" so that you'll shut up and goose-step through the public square, yelling at other non-compliant people driving SUVs and eating red meat. They want you proclaiming all capitalist humans as the murderers of Mother Nature.

So when CBS decides to air a show on climate change (that makes no mention of 400 worldwide scientists who disagree with or question manmade climate change as it is currently propagated), CBS pulls out the ol' Holocaust-denier comparison:

Life Is Convenient When You Define 'Truth':

“Every time you address the Holocaust, you don’t bring somebody in that says it didn’t happen. And we’re at that stage now. We have Holocaust deniers; we have climate change deniers. And to be honest, I don’t think there’s a great deal of difference.” That was the blunt assessment of Bill McGuire, an earth sciences professor, on ABC’s Aug. 30, 2006, “20/20.”
It's much easier to shut us climate change deniers down by just comparing us to really awful people in history, like those who say the Holocaust never happened (basically calling us Nazis); that will keep us quiet and in our place, so that they can continue to turn the sheep out there into climate zombies who chant, "Al Gore-Christ! Al Gore-Christ!"

Academy Members: Take back Al Gore's Oscar - Climategate

LOL! You've got to love this. Of course, their demand has as much chance of success as an icicle in hell, but I admire them for saying what none of their liberal counterparts will.

And yes, LA Times, there are SOME conservatives in Hollywood...about two or three. LOL!

What's funnier is that the Nobel organization isn't demanding its more prestigious award back from Al Gore.

No, it wouldn't do anything for the environment.

But two Hollywood conservatives (yes, there are some) have called upon the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to rescind the prestigious, profitable gold Oscar statuette that it gave ex-Vice President Al Gore et al two years ago for the environmental movie "An Inconvenient Truth."

Roger L. Simon and Lionel Chetwynd, both Academy members, are among a small, meandering pack of known political conservatives still believed to be on the loose in the liberal bastion of movie-making.

In 2007, Hollywood's Academy sanctified Gore's cinematic message of global warming with its famous statue, enriched his earnings by $100,000 per 85-minute appearance and helped elevate the Tennesseean's profile to win the Nobel Peace Prize despite losing the election battle of 2000 to a Texan and living in a large house with lots of energy-driven appliances.

Hypocrite Gore INCREASES already gluttonous energy consumption!

Algore LOL! I’ve posted a few times on the hypocrisy of the Gore-Christ, the defacto papal figure who has almost single-handedly organized the stupid religion of global warming. Like many hypocritical religious leaders of the past, Gore is showing that he doesn’t walk the talk at all, from his bloat-inducing cow-munch fests; to his private jet excursions to preach to others about conservation (where he gets paid thousands for his scientifically-flawed presentations); to his estate’s monthly energy consumption (which he so caringly “offsets” by purchasing carbon credits from his own business...ha ha).

To the Nobel and Oscar committees: thanks for giving this idiot your highest honors! The Nobel and Oscar were completely cheapened by your kowtowing to the “Internet inventor” politician from Tennessee (where the majority in his own state rejected him for POTUS).

Energy Guzzled by Al Gore’s Home in Past Year Could Power 232 U.S. Homes for a Month:

NASHVILLE - In the year since Al Gore took steps to make his home more energy-efficient, the former Vice President’s home energy use surged more than 10%, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.

“A man’s commitment to his beliefs is best measured by what he does behind the closed doors of his own home,” said Drew Johnson, President of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research. “Al Gore is a hypocrite and a fraud when it comes to his commitment to the environment, judging by his home energy consumption.”

In the past year, Gore’s home burned through 213,210 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power 232 average American households for a month.

Gore: Obama-electing youth could save Earth?

Puh-leaze! Oh Lord Messiah Obama...please save us from the nonexistent threat of manmade global warming, so that Al Gore's stupidity can be vindicated.

Young people are the most likely to be taken in by the scam, however, because they haven't lived long enough to smell a scam artist when they see one.

Right now, only the dufuses of the world still believe in this global warming nonsense.

Is Al Gore making a move now to eventually proclaim that the Internet he "invented" is now going to save Earth? LOL!

Internet revolution that elected Obama could save Earth: Gore:

Former US vice president Al Gore said an Internet revolution carrying Barack Obama to the White House should now focus its power on stopping Earth's climate crisis.

The one-time presidential contender turned environmental champion told Web 2.0 Summit goers in San Francisco Friday that technology has provided tools to save the planet while creating jobs and stimulating the crippled economy.

"The young people who have been inspired by Barack Obama's campaign and the movement that powered Barack Obama's campaign want a purpose," Gore said.

"One of the reasons we were all thrilled Tuesday night is it was pretty obvious this was a collectively intelligent decision."

The Internet's critical role in Democrat Obama's victory in the presidential race against Republican John McCain was a "great blow for victory" in addressing a "democracy crisis" stifling action against climate change, Gore said.

IPCC scientists reject AGW theory

I love it when former U.N. IPCC scientists denounce the Frankenstein they helped to create.

The new "inconvenient truth" that dares not say its name:

Hundreds of climate experts from around the world at the New York conference issued a "Manhattan Declaration," whose title gets right to the bottom line: Nature, not Human activity, Rules the Climate.

Among those at the gathering was former UN scientist (he quit the UN group in disgust) Dr. Paul Reiter of the Pasteur Institute in Paris. Dr. Reiter told the attendees that, "[a]s far as the science being 'settled,' I think that is an obscenity. The fact is the science is being distorted by those who are not scientists."

Added famed hurricane expert and meteorologist Dr. William Gray: "There are a lot of skeptics out there, all over the U.S. and the rest of the world. [Global warming] has been over-hyped tremendously; most of the climate change we have seen is largely natural. I think we are brainwashing our children terribly."

There are other IPCC scientists who have rejected their part in the farce. Let's take John Christy.

My Nobel Moment - WSJ.com:

I've had a lot of fun recently with my tiny (and unofficial) slice of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). But, though I was one of thousands of IPCC participants, I don't think I will add "0.0001 Nobel Laureate" to my resume.

The other half of the prize was awarded to former Vice President Al Gore, whose carbon footprint would stomp my neighborhood flat. But that's another story.

I'm sure the majority (but not all) of my IPCC colleagues cringe when I say this, but I see neither the developing catastrophe nor the smoking gun proving that human activity is to blame for most of the warming we see. Rather, I see a reliance on climate models (useful but never "proof") and the coincidence that changes in carbon dioxide and global temperatures have loose similarity over time.

Al Gore's response to Dr. Christy? We deniers are "outliers" and "flat earthers." Gore thinks we need MORE propaganda to brainwash you sheep out there into believing his little fart ball called global warming.

Al Gore, Comedian: Media's Global-Warming Coverage Too Balanced | NewsBusters.org:

AL GORE: Well, he's an outlier. He no longer belongs to the IPCC, and he is way outside the scientific consensus. But Meredith, part of the challenge the news media has had in covering this story is the old habit of taking the "on the one hand, on the other hand" approach. There are still people who believe that the earth is flat. But when you're reporting on a story like the one you're covering today, where you have people all around the world, you don't take, you don't search out, for someone who still believes the earth is flat and give them equal time. And the reason the IPCC was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, the thousands of scientists who make up that group, have for almost twenty years now created a very strong scientific consensus, that is as strong a consensus as you'll ever see in science, that the climate crisis is real, human beings are responsible for it, the results will be very bad for the United States and for the entire world community, all human beings, unless we do something about it. And there is still time to solve it.

Gore: "Silly to Debate Science"

Ha ha...what a moron this Al Gore is. He insults science--a discipline that's ALL ABOUT DEBATE--on a daily basis. Only the politically motivated scientists have attempted to shut down debate about global warming theory.

A Heated Exchange: Al Gore Confronts His Critic(s)

The Goreacle has spoken–again.

Former Vice President Al Gore repeated his message that climate change is a planetary emergency at the WSJ’s Eco:nomics conference in California. The Nobel-prize winner declined to take any questions from reporters, but he did receive a couple of challenges from attendees, including Bjorn Lomborg. But don’t expect Mr. Gore to debate the merits of how best to tackle climate change anytime soon.

Mr. Gore stuck to his prepared script about the urgency of taking action to curb global greenhouse-gas emissions, down to well-worn phrases he trots out at conferences across the country: America is at “a political tipping point” on climate change, and even if Washington has failed to address the energy challenge in the last 35 years, “political will is a renewable resource.”

But he was challenged by Mr. Lomborg, the Danish skeptical environmentalist who thinks the world would be better off spending more money on health and education issues than curbing carbon emissions.

Gore Admits North Pole Faux Pas

First, this is why Al Gore won't debate anyone. He knows he's pulling BS out of his butt and putting it out there as unassailable science. Down with this moron already and his alarmist accomplices. Here, Gore is taking a global warming scientist--one of the people he's counting on to save his ass--and ascribing assertions to the scientist that the scientist claims he never made. Gore is throwing one of his own under the bus just to pump up his already huge ego; this is why he turns off microphones when challenged on his stupid Power Point shows.

Second, the climate alarmists concluded in 2008 that the North Pole would melt completely IN THE SUMMER OF 2008. Guess what? IT NEVER HAPPENED. Another example of our media dropping the ball and avoiding the hard questions and EVEN HARDER follow up, after these stupid predictions don't happen. Even if it did, the Earth's sea levels WOULD NOT RISE. This is based on basic scientific knowledge--the Archimedes Principle.

Oh, and what news organization reported this? The U.K. press! Once again, they're carrying the banner where our liberal media falters.

In his speech, Mr Gore told the conference: “These figures are fresh. Some of the models suggest to Dr [Wieslav] Maslowski that there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within five to seven years.”

However, the climatologist whose work Mr Gore was relying upon dropped the former Vice-President in the water with an icy blast.

“It’s unclear to me how this figure was arrived at,” Dr Maslowski said. “I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this.”

Mr Gore’s office later admitted that the 75 per cent figure was one used by Dr Maslowksi as a “ballpark figure” several years ago in a conversation with Mr Gore.

Czech President Klaus wants AGW debate with Gore

First, it's important to note the source of this story--earthtimes.org. Their web site says:

As such www.Earthtimes.org is a leading website that publishes news reports and the latest information relating to the human environment...
To me, this means Earth Times is part of the global warming propaganda machine. You can see it in their article below, when they put climate alarmism in quotes, but list the words "global warming" without the quotes in their rather sycophantic paragraph on Gore's "accomplishments." They state Gore's global warming resume as if it's unequivocal that his awards were legit. That's what propagandists do--they shut down debate by dismissing detractors as idiots. I contend that Gore won an Oscar and Nobel Prize for NOTHING! Both awards were just cheapened even more--so congrats liberal ding-dongs!

First, I would just tell President Klaus BRAVO! He makes some terrific points below. Second, good luck getting Al Gore to debate anything. He's an incompetent nitnoid politician--not a scientist.

Czech President Klaus ready to debate Gore on climate change | earthtimes.org:

Washington - Czech President Vaclav Klaus said Tuesday he is ready to debate Al Gore about global warming, as he presented the English version of his latest book that argues environmentalism poses a threat to basic human freedoms. "I many times tried to talk to have a public exchange of views with him, and he's not too much willing to make such a conversation," Klaus said. "So I'm ready to do it."

Gore a former US vice president who has become a leading international voice in the cause against global warming, was co-winner of this year's Nobel Peace Prize. Gore's effort was highlighted by his Oscar winning documentary film An Inconvienent Truth.

Klaus, an economist, said he opposed the "climate alarmism" perpetuated by environmentalism trying to impose their ideals, comparing it to the decades of communist rule he experienced growing up in Soviet-dominated Czechoslovakia.

"Like their (communist) predecessors, they will be certain that they have the right to sacrifice man and his freedom to make their idea reality," he said.

"In the past, it was in the name of the Marxists or of the proletariat - this time, in the name of the planet," he added.

"It could be even true that we are now at a stage where mere facts, reason and truths are powerless in the face of the global warming propaganda," he said.

Klaus alleged that the global warming was being championed by scientists and other environmentalists whose careers and funding requires selling the public on global warming.

"It is in the hands of climatologists and other related scientists who are highly motivated to look in one direction only," Klaus said.

Sorry: All scientists DO NOT AGREE

Kudos once again to Noel Sheppard for his awesome AGW coverage.

So 400 scientists disagree with the consensus and the Gore-Christ (including former U.N. IPCC members), and all the Gore-Christ can do is say that 30 of them MAY HAVE "Big Oil" connections. This is why more scientists don't speak up about what's going on; they don't want to be branded with the Scarlet Letter by the Warmaholic Faithful. Al Gore's Oscar and Nobel Prizes are the biggest jokes I think I've ever personally witnessed.

One-hundred well-known, respected scientists recently sent an open letter to U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, imploring the U.N. to wake-up and see the political juggernaut this is issue has become. They boldly state (at their own professional peril) that climate change is natural and that political action is futile.

Though not in the letter, one scientist stated the following:

"I find the Doomsday picture Al Gore is painting — a six-meter sea level rise, 15 times the IPCC number — entirely without merit," said Dutch atmospheric scientist Hendrik Tennekes, one of the researchers quoted in the report by Republican staff of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.

"I protest vigorously the idea that the climate reacts like a home heating system to a changed setting of the thermostat: just turn the dial, and the desired temperature will soon be reached," Mr. Tennekes said in the report.

Later we read:
In the Senate report, environmental scientist David W. Schnare of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said he was skeptical because "conclusions about the cause of the apparent warming stand on the shoulders of incredibly uncertain data and models. ... As a policy matter, one has to be less willing to take extreme actions when data are highly uncertain."
U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works :: Minority Page:
Over 400 prominent scientists from more than two dozen countries recently voiced significant objections to major aspects of the so-called "consensus" on man-made global warming. These scientists, many of whom are current and former participants in the UN IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), criticized the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore.

Gore: Myanmar cyclone caused by AGW!

Wow! I didn’t see this one coming (sarcasm definitely intended). To Al Gore, every disaster is caused by global warming. Review where John Kerry blamed a tornado outbreak on global warming. Look here to see all the things for which global warming is blamed. See here where this past record-setting winter was caused by global warming. Me thinks they protest too much. This is an utter crock of crap. I’m sure the 2004 tsunami was probably caused by global warming too.

Al Gore Calls Myanmar Cyclone a 'Consequence' of Global Warming

Using tragedy to advance an agenda has been a strategy for many global warming activists, and it was just a matter of time before someone found a way to tie the recent Myanmar cyclone to global warming.

Former Vice President Al Gore in an interview on NPR’s May 6 “Fresh Air” broadcast did just that. He was interviewed by “Fresh Air” host Terry Gross about the release of his book, “The Assault on Reason,” in paperback.

“And as we’re talking today, Terry, the death count in Myanmar from the cyclone that hit there yesterday has been rising from 15,000 to way on up there to much higher numbers now being speculated,” Gore said. “And last year a catastrophic storm from last fall hit Bangladesh. The year before, the strongest cyclone in more than 50 years hit China – and we’re seeing consequences that scientists have long predicted might be associated with continued global warming.”

Hypocrisy in action: elitist air travel

200Px-Aair

Want to see global warming hypocrisy in action? Peter W. Tilton, a young editor at The Harvard Crimson, recently had some great insights:

The Harvard Crimson :: Opinion :: Gore and “Green” Goonies:

The leading spokesperson of today’s enviro-chic celebrities is Al Gore, whose face is everywhere from his award winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth to Norway where he recently received the Nobel Peace Prize. Many Americans would naturally assume Gore follows the green lifestyle he widely promotes, and they would be wrong. Gore and his wife Tipper, whose children all live elsewhere, reside in a behemoth 20-room mansion outside of Nashville that used nearly 23,000 kilowatt-hours last August, more than twice the annual—yes, annual—energy usage of a typical American home. Gore’s preferred mode of transportation between stops on his international publicity tour is his private jet, which spews out CO2 emissions at the rate of a small army of SUVs.
Hypocritical enviro-advocates abound these days, constantly reminding us to make sacrifices in the interest of the earth while forgoing few comforts themselves. Green activist and actor John Travolta likes to spend his free time toying around in one of his five private planes, including a commercial Boeing 707, racking up 800 tons of carbon emissions in the last year. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has managed to promote his idea of an environmentally friendly lifestyle by creating a hydrogen-fueled Hummer—a car that gets a whopping 10-15 miles per gallon—while crisscrossing the country in his private jet. Last year, former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert (D-Il.) gave a speech in Washington D.C. emphasizing the need to drive more fuel-efficient cars before hopping into his own hybrid car. Several blocks away, he was caught switching from his environmentally friendly ride into a gas-guzzling SUV.
Al Gore can fly all over the world in a private jet, charging $20K to give his global warming PowerPoint presentation to suckers everywhere. What does the Gore-Christ get? Praise, awards, and undeserved recognition.

However, if a U.S. business flies five people to the U.K., there's going to be hell to pay!

Plane flies five passengers from US to London - Telegraph:

A major airline is under fire from environmentalists for flying an aircraft across the Atlantic with only five passengers on board.

The flight from Chicago to London meant that the plane, a Boeing 777, used 22,000 gallons of fuel.

Friends of the Earth said it was 'obscene' to waste so much fuel flying an almost empty plane. It led to American Airlines being accused of reckless behaviour by green lobby groups.

Let's not forget Gov. Schwarzenegger, the environmentalist Republican hypocrite. When you buy carbon credits, you're golden.

Opinion - Editorial: Air Schwarzenegger - sacbee.com:

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who once joked that Sacramento was "death," apparently doesn't want to spend many nights in the graveyard.

As the Los Angeles Times reported last week, the governor has been spending nearly every night in his Brentwood mansion, shuttling between Sacramento and Southern California in his private jet.

The governor uses his own money to pay for his Gulfstream flights, which price out at about $10,000 an hour, the Times reports.

And what about the cost to the environment? The governor's staff says he purchases "carbon credits."

Weather Channel Founder: AGW is Bad Science!

This isn't the first time that John Coleman has rightly told Al Gore he's an idiot, but it's good timing. Gore recently held a powwow in D.C. during a freezing ice storm to urge political action (READ more money for Gore) on global warming. Is it me, or does it seem like every time these global warming lunatics attempt a protest or meeting that Mother Nature sends down a wicked winter storm?

You have to love it! Ask yourself what Gore gets out of admitting the truth. Now ask yourself what he gets if he can prop up the BS for a while longer. Precisely. So the lie goes on, so long as so many stand to lose enormously if they dare utter the truth. Many, many reputations and many, many dollars are on the line now, so the lie goes on.

Weather Channel Founder Blasts Gore Over Global Warming Campaign

The founder of the Weather Channel is ridiculing Al Gore over his calls for action on global climate change, saying in a column that global warming is a "hoax" and "bad science."

John Coleman, now a weatherman at San Diego's KUSI, wrote on his station's Web site Wednesday that Gore refuses to acknowledge the faulty research on which the idea of global warming is based.

Coleman's lengthy scolding came as the former vice president and Nobel Peace Prize winner addressed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and urged lawmakers to pass a bill that would put caps on heat-trapping gases and take the lead on a global climate treaty.
