Climategate Scientists Hid Climate Data

More evidence coming out about these charlatans. I guess the liberal press will turn all this around against 'skeptics' and 'deniers' somehow. LOL! Don't forget that, now, the data is all DESTROYED. Convenient huh? And we were going to let these guys drive political and environmental policy FOR THE ENTIRE PLANET.

The university at the centre of the climate change row over stolen e-mails broke the law by refusing to hand over its raw data for public scrutiny.

The University of East Anglia breached the Freedom of Information Act by refusing to comply with requests for data concerning claims by its scientists that man-made emissions were causing global warming.

U.N. Glacier Scientists Knew Data Was False and 'Political'

Wonder when the U.S. mainstream media will cover this? Never. Of course, it's the faithful British press that brings us the story. Thank you, Brits, for embracing truth.

Had enough yet, sheep? Or is your faith in this quasi-religion still unshaken? I told you--POLITICS MASQUERADING AS SCIENCE!

The scientist behind the bogus claim in a Nobel Prize-winning UN report that Himalayan glaciers will have melted by 2035 last night admitted it was included purely to put political pressure on world leaders.

Dr Murari Lal also said he was well aware the statement, in the 2007 report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), did not rest on peer-reviewed scientific research.

In an interview with The Mail on Sunday, Dr Lal, the co-ordinating lead author of the report’s chapter on Asia, said: ‘It related to several countries in this region and their water sources. We thought that if we can highlight it, it will impact policy-makers and politicians and encourage them to take some concrete action.

‘It had importance for the region, so we thought we should put it in.’

U.N. Climate Change Chief: Expect More Errors

Okay, so this schmuck scientist isn't going to resign (surprise...sounds like all the other climate liars) but he IS telling us to expect more errors in that stupid, lying climate report that predicted all sorts of doom for the world, unless we hand all power and wealth over to the U.N. to save us from ourselves. What baloney. Had enough yet, sheep? Ready to accept that you've been had? I certainly hope so.

No, Dr. Pachauri, I don't want your 'blood.' I just want you to shut up and go away...stop spreading fear in the world, using science for political purposes.

Dr Rajendra Pachauri dismissed calls for him to resign over the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change’s retraction of a prediction that Himalayan glaciers could disappear by 2035.

But he admitted that there may have been other errors in the same section of the report, and said that he was considering whether to take action against those responsible.

“I know a lot of climate sceptics are after my blood, but I’m in no mood to oblige them,” he told The Times in an interview. “It was a collective failure by a number of people,” he said. “I need to consider what action to take, but that will take several weeks. It’s best to think with a cool head, rather than shoot from the hip.”

[From UN climate change expert: there could be more errors in report - Times Online ]

Emissions Deadline Abandoned by U.N.

For us climate deniers, it doesn't get any sweeter. Liberalism is in retreat worldwide. Yay! This comes on the heels of the admission by the U.N.'s climate chief that their recent report contains errors, and all this follows the false science revealed by Climategate.

The timetable to reach a global deal to tackle climate change lay in tatters on Wednesday after the United Nations waived the first deadline of the process laid out at last month’s fractious Copenhagen summit.

Nations agreed then to declare their emissions reduction targets by the end of this month. Developed countries would state their intended cuts by 2020: developing countries would outline how they would curb emissions growth.

But Yvo de Boer, the UN’s senior climate change official, admitted the deadline had in effect been shelved.

U.N. Climate Chief Admits Flawed Prediction on Glaciers

I've already written about this, but here it really hits the fan. What I find funny (in the news over this story) is that pundits simply say that this gives fodder to the "deniers" and strengthens the "denial machine." They take this and turn it around as a negative about "deniers" and skeptics, like myself. Amazing how mounting proof of this utter hoax is turned into a negative about me and my fellow skeptics, simply because we notice the mounting evidence of the hoax and dare to bring it up.

After Climategate, years-long record cold empirical data, Copen-faken, Hansen's climate retractions, and now this admission, the cult members in the media still aren't willing to entertain the idea that they've been royally had.

The UN’s top climate change body has issued an unprecedented apology over its flawed prediction that Himalayan glaciers were likely to disappear by 2035.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said yesterday that the prediction in its landmark 2007 report was “poorly substantiated” and resulted from a lapse in standards.

Senate Backpedals on Crap-and-Tax

The first Republican Senator in decades is elected to Ted Kennedy's old seat, which Democrats had taken for granted as their own. Now you'll begin to see leftists backing off of socialist programs like cap-and-trade and government-run health care. Obama overreached and was rebuked by liberal Massachusetts (it will be much worse in more conservative areas of the country), and now reality will set in, because the number one goal of these morons in Congress--regardless of their party or political affiliation--is to keep their jobs.

"My own sense is that in the aftermath of a very, very heavy lift on health care, I think it is unlikely that the Senate will turn next to the very complicated and very controversial subject of cap-and-trade, climate change kind of legislation," Dorgan said. "I think it is more compelling to turn to an energy bill that is bi-partisan."

GASP!: U.S. at Copenhagen Caused Haiti Disaster—Glover

Yes, you read that right.

Doesn’t matter if it’s Pat Robertson uttering stupidity (i.e., Haiti made a pact with the Devil) or Danny Glover saying this BS, when you’re a moron...you’re a moron. End of story. God DID NOT kill people in Haiti as punishment for voodoo. Global warming (or any conference associated with it) DID NOT cause the earthquake in Haiti.

Remember, Glover is one of these ultra-leftist Hollywood actors who loves Marxism and Hugo Chavez. Just sayin’...

Need to read what all global warming is doing to the planet? Check out Dr. Brignell's warmlist and read the GASP! series.

Says Glover: “When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I’m sayin’?” His obscene opinion would be bigger news if Glover had – in the manner of others – idiotically blamed a less-fashionable deity.

Speaking of Bad Computer Models

I was just having a discussion with a global warming believer about climate computer models in the comments of an earlier blog post (see Sagan's Baloney Detection Kit); this is a timely story. Remember, models don't mean a damn thing if they're programmed wrong or are fed bad data: Garbage-in equals garbage-out. That's why computer models that predict hurricane strength and likely landfall locations are filled with uncertainty until just before the storms make landfall. And a hurricane--complicated though it is--pales compared to the complexity of the worldwide climate. This is also why we still can't accurately forecast local weather more than 5-days out (and those forecasts are often wrong). Plus, a computer model--just like statistics--can be made to paint any picture in the hands of a clever, devious scientist.

Computer models that predict climatic warming due to manmade gas emissions are WRONG, and given the political environment today, likely VERY BIASED and therefore UNBELIEVABLE.

A BBC weather forecaster has suggested that the Met Office's super-computer has a 'warm bias' which has stopped it predicting bitterly cold spells like the one we have just endured.

Paul Hudson said the error may have crept into the computer's climate model as a result of successive years of milder weather.

His claim was rejected by the Met Office but other experts said there could be flaws in the system, which was first developed 50 years ago.

[From Met Office computer accused of 'warm bias' by BBC weatherman | Mail Online]

So Much For Melting Glaciers

I've beaten melting ice stories to death on this blog many times, in an attempt to illustrate that these stories are designed to invoke fear in misinformed readers.

I believe that we will begin to see more and more stories like this, as the mythology of manmade climate change is unraveled to be the scientific and political boondoggle that it is. It seems Climategate was just the beginning. Hansen's 'surreal blunder' in miscalculating temperature models to show a 'hottest ever' October a few years ago is but another example of overzealous, agenda-driven 'science' that is truly politics at its core. Global warming does not exist; it has lost its traction with the world, as the world suffers each winter under withering cold.

A WARNING that climate change will melt most of the Himalayan glaciers by 2035 is likely to be retracted after a series of scientific blunders by the United Nations body that issued it.

Two years ago the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued a benchmark report that was claimed to incorporate the latest and most detailed research into the impact of global warming. A central claim was the world's glaciers were melting so fast that those in the Himalayas could vanish by 2035.

In the past few days the scientists behind the warning have admitted that it was based on a news story in the New Scientist, a popular science journal, published eight years before the IPCC's 2007 report.

It has also emerged that the New Scientist report was itself based on a short telephone interview with Syed Hasnain, a little-known Indian scientist then based at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi.

More Record Cold, More Death

More of the same. Alarmists are beside themselves. How can it be that their little fart-myth theory is dissipating before their very eyes? Because they're pathetic cultists, that's why. The world is coated in COLD, as they attempt to convince everyone it's warming.

The coldest start to a new year since World War II is shivering into the record books.

Chelly Amin, a meteorologist at Huntsville's National Weather Service office, said the average temperature so far in January has been just 26.4 degrees.

That's the chilliest dawn of a new year in North Alabama since 1940, Amin said Friday, and the worst seven-day cold snap since February 1996.

[From Year off to coldest start since 1940 - al.com]

FREEZING WEATHER brought further disruption across vast swathes of northern Europe as the death toll from the unusually severe cold snap, mainly among homeless men, continued to climb.

As forecasters warned of dangerous conditions continuing today, commuters and air travellers bore the brunt of the cold, snow and ice, while demand soared for home-heating energy.

The bad weather is expected to last for another two weeks, draining European gas supplies. Britain’s national grid warned that record gas demand might exceed supply for the second time this week after a drop in supplies from Norway, as dozens of big industrial users switched to other fuels to ensure heating for households.

[From Cold snap death toll rises across Europe - The Irish Times - Fri, Jan 08, 2010]

epartment of Marine Resources Director William Walker says this is very common in extremely cold weather coupled with low tide. The fish become trapped in shallow water then die of hypothermia. He says D.M.R. does not clean up the fish because most people pick them up and eat them.

[From Cold weather freezes thousands of fish in OS Harbor - WLOX-TV and WLOX.com - Building South Mississippi Together |]

Only last year, Europe’s severe winter freezing was called the worst in memory. This year’s snows are described as the worst in a generation. The terminology of meteorology rises every time the temperature falls. But heavy ongoing snowfall in north Europe, and rain clouds rising from the Mediterranean – reinforced with continent-wide arctic gusts and tornado talk in the Balkans – are delaying planes, automobiles, and especially trains.

The Eurostar from Paris to London, a two-hour commute for many, broke down in the tunnel under the English Channel. Again. The problem: Snow gets sucked into the engine, shorting out the electrical systems.

Empirical Cold Dispels Warming Theory

News just gets worse and worse for the alarmists. Unfortunately, the cold we must endure to make them eat crow is DEADLY. Bring on some global warming, please!

HOUSTON (Reuters) - Electricity usage in Texas rose Friday as arctic air covered most of the state, hitting another winter power record after setting one just the night before, according to initial data from the state grid operator.

[From Texas power usage sets another winter record | Reuters]

PORT ST. LUCIE - Thee chill in the air is keeping hospitals busy.

Thanks to the drop in temperature in South Florida, St. Lucie Medical Center is seeing an increase in the number of patients with colds, bronchitis, and pneumonia. Dr. Rudy Lindner says ever since it got chilly, his emergency room has been full of patients with low immune systems who went out into the cold and got sick.

Snow was piled so high in Iowa that drivers couldn't see across intersections and a North Dakota snowblower repair shop was overwhelmed with business as residents braced Thursday for heavy snow and wind chills as low as 52 below zero.

Frigid weather also was gripping the South, where a rare cold snap was expected to bring snow and ice Thursday to states from South Carolina to Louisiana. Forecasters said wind chills could drop to near zero at night in some areas.

Worldwide Record COLD Frustrates Alarmists

It's really tough for alarmists to convince the sheep that the earth is heating up when the prevailing weather continues, year after year, to freeze our asses off. They stick to saying that arctic ice and glaciers are melting, but it sure isn't melting WHERE PEOPLE LIVE and can observe with their own senses. Empirical evidence, experienced firsthand, is hard to ignore.

(NECN: Burlington, Vt.) - A record amount of snow fell in Burlington from the weekend storm that left a coat of varying depth across the region.

In South Burlington, 33 inches fell -- an all-time record for one storm.

The previous record was a Christmas snowstorm in 1969, which left close to 30 inches over a three-day period.

[From All-time record snowfall in Burlington | NECN]

These days it feels like Mother Nature is a disc jockey playing cheesy music at a wedding dance with the record stuck on "Limbo," as in: "How low can you go?"

Answer: Near-record low.

Thermometers across Iowa dipped into the negative double digits. And this intense cold probably isn't going anywhere until next weekend.

Temperatures stayed below zero for much of Saturday. Des Moines was at minus-1 by 3 p.m.

[From Feeling cold? We're at 30 below normal | desmoinesregister.com | The Des Moines Register]

A FREEZING cold front swept over much of northern China on Sunday with snowstorms snarling traffic and air travel, while some of the coldest temperatures in decades were forecast for coming days.

Gale-force winds sweeping down from Siberia could result in temperatures as low as minus 16 degrees in the capital today, the Beijing meteorological station said.

Such temperatures are believed to be the coldest in the capital in 40 years.

[From Siberian winds usher in record lows in Beijing]

When Britain woke up on the first day of the year it was met with freezing temperatures, snow and the promise of travel chaos.

And now, three days into 2010, forecasters have warned the country to expect continued snowfall for the next ten days - bringing with it added stress for commuters heading back to work after the festive break and children returning to school.

Yet Britain is not along in struggling to cope with the difficult weather conditions.

Four people were killed and three more are feared dead after two avalanches struck at the same Swiss resort just minutes apart.

Jan. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Cold, windy weather enveloping the U.S. from the northern Plains to the East Coast may continue to break temperature records today. In south Florida, orange growers may escape most crop damage.

The National Weather Service issued hard-freeze warnings for last night and this morning for southern Alabama and Georgia and the northern part of Florida, including the panhandle. Such warnings alert growers of temperatures that may fall below 32 degrees Fahrenheit (zero Celsius) for more than three consecutive hours.

Peru's Mountain People Freeze; Media Blames 'Climate Change'

Remember when the en vogue term 'manmade global warming' shifted to the use of the term 'manmade climate change'? Many skeptical pundits felt that this was an adjustment to blame all harsh weather--cold or warm--on man's use of fossil fuels. This story implies that Copen-faken's miserable failure (though heralded by Obamaniacs as a success) is KILLING THESE PERUVIAN PEOPLE.

This media-supported, alarmist tactic--along with climate revisionism--is being used as damage control because of our now increasingly COOLING climate.

For climate realists and scientists like myself, this DEADLY COLD is just more empirical proof that manmade climate change (ahem...global warming) is a bunch of crap.

Climate change campaigners and development NGOs say that the failure of Copenhagen has signed the death warrant for hundreds of thousands of the world's poorest and that a quarter of a million children will die before world leaders meet again to try to thrash out another deal at the United Nations next climate change conference in Mexico in December. Among them may be these children of the high mountains.

Enduring prolonged sub-zero temperatures is a matter of course for Peru's indigenous mountain people, many of whom live at more than 3,000m above sea level. Scores die every year from the cold, but in recent years the number of people succumbing to the freezing temperatures has triggered talk of a national crisis.

Deep Freeze in Deep South Kills Deep Stupidity

Let's face it...the last few years have been really bad for the alarmist cult followers of global warming. Climategate, Copen-faken, and empirical evidence (not to mention REAL SCIENCE) have been stacking up against them.

Jan. 2 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. East Coast faces the coldest night of the season as frigid air spills south and threatens agriculture in Georgia, Alabama and the orange crop in Florida.

Freeze warnings were posted by the National Weather Service as far south as the Orlando area, which may be as many as 20 degrees below normal tonight, the National Weather Service said. The advisory alerts growers that subfreezing temperatures are imminent and may kill crops or other sensitive vegetation.

Atmospheric CO2 Remains at Pre-Civil War Levels

1850. The beginning of the Industrial Revolution and just before the Civil War kicked off. Today's CO2 levels haven't changed since then IN THE ATMOSPHERE! Where does it go? The oceans absorb it, of course.

Alarmist scientists aren't going to like that this little tidbit got out there in a scientific journal.

ScienceDaily (Dec. 31, 2009) — Most of the carbon dioxide emitted by human activity does not remain in the atmosphere, but is instead absorbed by the oceans and terrestrial ecosystems. In fact, only about 45 percent of emitted carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere.

They Protest, It Snows

LOL! Never fails. The news is full of ironic stories like this.

"Not many people showed up because of the blizzard conditions," said organizer Clea Major, an international studies student at the University of Utah.

New Year Brings Deadly COLD Worldwide

The empirical evidence associated with GLOBAL COOLING has piled on over the past several years, even while alarmists refuse to acknowledge it, or--laughably and ironically--they chalk all the cold weather up TO global warming (i.e., climate change revisionism). Here, the DEADLY cold weather is attacking AROUND THE WORLD, including India (again)!

Yep. In warmer periods of our history--like the Medieval Warm Period (which alarmists want you to forget about)--humans have prospered, while cold is far more deadly.

New Delhi - At least 17 people died as towns and cities in India's northern states were hit by cold weather, officials said on Friday.

"Sixteen people have died in Uttar Pradesh since early Wednesday due to cold [weather] conditions in the state. Most victims were homeless or pavement dwellers," state police spokesman G N Khanna said.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Forecasters say the coldest stretch of weather in years if not decades could be heading for North Carolina.
While temperatures won’t be falling to record lows, the National Weather Service says the duration of the cold weather is unusual. Highs could struggle to get above freezing for the next week in areas from Raleigh west.

[From Once in a generation cold snap forecast for NC | WNCT]

They predicted no let up in the freezing snap until at least mid-January, with snow, ice and severe frosts dominating.
And the likelihood is that the second half of the month will be even colder.

Weather patterns were more like those in the late 1970s, experts said, while Met Office figures released on Monday are expected to show that the country is experiencing the coldest winter for up to 25 years.

On New Year's Day 10 extreme weather warnings were in place, with heavy snow expected in northern England and Scotland.
