Global Weirding? They Can't Back That Up

At first we were told that anthropogenic global warming was a result of man's CO2 emissions and that we'd see less and less snow and ice. Ice would melt and raise the sea levels, flooding cities. Then, when it was obvious that empirical data showed we were actually cooling more than warming, they said that dynamic weather variability was the result of manmade 'climate change.' Another group said that global warming was merely being 'masked' by the La Nina effect; that was why we were experiencing cooler summers and winters. Dynamic weather referred to anything deemed 'unusual,' such that a blizzard or freezing temperatures would give the same support to the renamed 'climate change' as a would a heat wave or tornado outbreak. I call these sudden grasps at explaining non-correlating empirical data CLIMATE REVISIONISM.

Somewhere in the midst of the mounting empirical evidence to the contrary, climate scandal upon climate scandal erupted. Interested powers tried to put the genie back in the bottle, but it was too late.

As the public continued to reject the idea of manmade global warming or climate change, Thulsa Doom Obama decided to go with the new moniker of 'global climate disruption.' And most recently, the term 'global weirding' came into vogue. No matter what alias they use, it still all comes down to an indictment of capitalism as the driving force behind a climate gone mad. Americans aren't buying it, and neither are Europeans. The rat radar is up and detecting something foul.

Last week a severe storm froze Dallas under a sheet of ice, just in time to disrupt the plans of the tens of thousands of (American) football fans descending on the city for the Super Bowl. On the other side of the globe, Cyclone Yasi slammed northeastern Australia, destroying homes and crops and displacing hundreds of thousands of people.

Some climate alarmists would have us believe that these storms are yet another baleful consequence of man-made CO2 emissions. In addition to the latest weather events, they also point to recent cyclones in Burma, last winter's fatal chills in Nepal and Bangladesh, December's blizzards in Britain, and every other drought, typhoon and unseasonable heat wave around the world.

But is it true? To answer that question, you need to understand whether recent weather trends are extreme by historical standards. The Twentieth Century Reanalysis Project is the latest attempt to find out, using super-computers to generate a dataset of global atmospheric circulation from 1871 to the present.

As it happens, the project's initial findings, published last month, show no evidence of an intensifying weather trend. "In the climate models, the extremes get more extreme as we move into a doubled CO2 world in 100 years," atmospheric scientist Gilbert Compo, one of the researchers on the project, tells me from his office at the University of Colorado, Boulder. "So we were surprised that none of the three major indices of climate variability that we used show a trend of increased circulation going back to 1871."

Thulsa Doom Obama: 'Global Climate Disruption' Instead of AGW

So, Thulsa Doom and his team realize that the public thinks 'anthropogenic global warming' is a steaming pile of caca...because it is. And rebranding global warming as 'manmade climate change' didn't much work either. People weren't fooled, especially considering all of the climate scandals that were exposed recently.

So what's a pinko-leftwing-socialist-environmentalist to do when his boondoggle is threatened? Why, change the name yet again, of course. That way you simpletons will know that the freak snow storm in April you experienced is really YOUR capitalist fault too!

He said the climate change change-up likely derives from flagging public support for their bill to regulate emissions. He said the term "global warming" makes the cause easy to ridicule whenever there's a snowstorm.

"Every time we're digging our cars out -- what global warming?" he said. "(Global climate disruption is) more of a sort of generic blanket term, I guess, that can apply in all weather conditions."

Hillary Clinton: AGW 'Unequivocal' and 'Human-induced'

You've just got to understand why they can't let this go. So much has been invested in creating this myth; so many reputations and so much money hangs in the balance, even though there is NOTHING there.

All this in an attempt to save the next Crap and Tax bill that most Americans don't want. Like that ever stopped Democrats.

WASHINGTON, April 19 (Reuters) - An environmental coalition publicized a new U.S. draft report on climate change on Monday, one week before the expected unveiling of a compromise U.S. Senate bill that aims to curb greenhouse gas emissions.

The Project on Climate Science, a coalition of environmental groups, publicized the report in advance of Earth Day on April 22, a spokeswoman said. The report was released with little fanfare on April 7 and posted on the Federal Register on April 8.

The report, a draft of the Fifth U.S. Climate Action Report that will be sent to the United Nations, says bluntly: "Global warming is unequivocal and primarily human-induced ... Global temperature has increased over the past 50 years. This observed increase is due primarily to human-induced emissions of heat-trapping gases."

Record-setting Blizzard in D.C. Cancels AGW Hearing

More poetic justice and irony. Baltimore breaks the snow record set in 1995. Winter weather records are broken in Chicago, D.C., and Philadelphia. Empirical evidence to stick in your global warming pipe and smoke.

Apparently, in an attempt to head-off the constant, recent chipping away at the global warming religion, the leftwing NYT will publish a story tomorrow that blames all these record winter blizzards on GLOBAL WARMING! That's right! When it's warm or there's NO SNOW outside, that's warming caused by heat-trapping, man-emitted greenhouse gases. And when there's a record-setting blizzard, that's warming caused by heat-trapping, man-emitted greenhouse gases. Nice scam, huh? When it's hot, it's warming. And when it's cold, it's warming. This way, the alarmist psychos never lose, LOL!

If we're really honest (and most of us who aren't 12 years old can remember the 1970s or much further back), these record weather events--blizzards, tornado outbreaks, hurricanes, and heat waves--have always happened. If we grab Almanacs and stare back even further, we see that THEY'VE ALWAYS HAPPENED. But those facts won't stop the Kool-aid drinkers. Just as the recent climatology scandals won't stop them.

The following Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works hearings have been postponed due to inclement weather this week:

- The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works will hold a hearing entitled, "Global Warming Impacts, Including Public Health, in the United States."

White House Defends AGW Hoax: Climategate

Ostrich with its head in the sand. NOW WHO'S THE DENIER!?!? It's up to you American voters to show our government that you're not going to stand for this alarmism BS and all the government intervention that it entails.

WASHINGTON -- Top White House science officials defended the validity of global warming research against repeated Republican attacks Wednesday that cited leaked e-mails from some climate researchers.

The e-mails from a British university's climate center, were obtained by computer hackers and released last month. Climate change skeptics contend the messages reveal that researchers manipulated and suppressed data and stifled dissent.

In the first Capitol Hill airing of the issue, House Republicans read excerpts from at least eight of the e-mails, saying they showed the world needs to re-examine experts' claims that the science is settled. One e-mail from 2003 was by John Holdren, then of Harvard University and now the president's science adviser.

Climatologists' Emails: Spurn Denying Scientists' Papers

More on that crazy email leak. Seems that there's no way these idiots can claim their emails were taken 'out of context' when it comes to examples like this. Here, we see open violations of science and extreme examples of what can be found in Carl Sagan's Baloney Detection Kit. These climate scientists prove by their very actions that they're full of crap. Their 'science' is baloney, as they try to ostracize and silence their critics.

In other words--just like Al Gore (their patron saint)--they will AVOID DEBATE at all costs!

"I can't see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report," Jones writes. "Kevin and I will keep them out somehow -- even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!"

In another, Jones and Mann discuss how they can pressure an academic journal not to accept the work of climate skeptics with whom they disagree. "Perhaps we should encourage our colleagues in the climate research community to no longer submit to, or cite papers in, this journal," Mann writes.

"I will be emailing the journal to tell them I'm having nothing more to do with it until they rid themselves of this troublesome editor," Jones replies.

Leaked 'Scientist' Emails: AGW is a Fraud

This will come as no surprise to most readers of this blog, but some of you cult-following, Kool-Aid drinking nutjobs will come up with no end of excuses (e.g., taken out of context, etc.) to cover up this damaging bit--actually damaging pile--of correspondence coming from the 'consensus' scientists who've scared you into believing their lies.

Why do these climate scientists need global warming to be 'real' and for research to continue? Because they like getting paid for their dumb shit. Research grants will keep rolling in so long as politicians--who can also benefit from this mythological religion--can keep the crap rolling along.

But the weather isn't cooperating. It's kind of hard to prop up bull shiza when the temperatures haven't risen in 10 years, while CO2 keeps going up.

Hundreds of emails and documents exchanged between world's leading climate scientists stolen by hackers and leaked online

Hundreds of private emails and documents allegedly exchanged between some of the world's leading climate scientists during the past 13 years have been stolen by hackers and leaked online, it emerged today.

The computer files were apparently accessed earlier this week from servers at the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit, a world-renowned centre focused on the study of natural and anthropogenic climate change.

Climate change sceptics who have studied the emails allege they provide "smoking gun" evidence that some of the climatologists colluded in manipulating data to support the widely held view that climate change is real, and is being largely caused by the actions of mankind.

The Cult of Global Warming

Another scientist speaks out, this time from Australia. Will he be heard? Of course global warming is a cult and fad. Or will the psychos stick with 'consensus' as if there are no dissenting smart people out there?

Geologist Ian Plimer takes a contrary view, arguing that man-made climate change is a con trick perpetuated by environmentalists

BY JONATHAN MANTHORPE, VANCOUVER SUN, JULY 28, 2009

Ian Plimer has outraged the ayatollahs of purist environmentalism, the Torquemadas of the doctrine of global warming, and he seems to relish the damnation they heap on him.

Plimer is a geologist, professor of mining geology at Adelaide University, and he may well be Australia's best-known and most notorious academic.

Plimer, you see, is an unremitting critic of "anthropogenic global warming" -- man-made climate change to you and me -- and the current environmental orthodoxy that if we change our polluting ways, global warming can be reversed.

BK Franchise: GW is Baloney

Why have a row over truth? Of course AGW is baloney. Any person with half a brain can figure out that this global warming business is a giant scam. (Or should I just say it IS a business?) And like most businesses, fast food joints are on the chopping block of global warming alarmists.

'Global warming is baloney' signs put the heat on Burger King

A row between the fast food giant Burger King and one of its major franchise owners has erupted over roadside signs proclaiming "global warming is baloney".

LOL: Turbine Owner in Trouble Over Noise

This is just plain funny. It’s fun to watch these hapless Green fanatics get their just comeuppance.

Green homeowner hit with noise abatement order because 40ft wind turbine is driving his neighbours mad

When Stephen Munday spent £20,000 on a wind turbine to generate electricity for his home, he was proud to be doing his bit for the environment.

He got planning permission and put up the 40ft device two years ago, making sure he stuck to strict noise level limits.

But neighbours still complained that the sound was annoying - and now the local council has ordered him to switch it off.

Sarkozy: A Real Climate Leader

Yay! Go Sarkozy! Finally, a conservative leader with some chutzpah. Did Sarkozy change his mind on global warming? Seems so. Someone needs to give the finger to these stupid cult members.

Sarkozy in climate row over reshuffle

President Nicolas Sarkozy's desire to appoint an outspoken climate-change sceptic to a new French super-ministry of industry and innovation has drawn strong protests from party colleagues and environmentalists.

Claude Allègre argues that global warming is not necessarily caused by human activity. Putting him in charge of scientific research would be tantamount to "giving the finger to scientists", said Nicolas Hulot, France's best-known environmental activist.

Carbon-filled Al Gore Bellows More

When will this carbon-spewing, hypocritical nitwit go away? He's managed to sully the Nobel Prize and the Oscars simply by being a committee-entrancing recipient. He really needs a new niche.

Has anyone noticed how large Al Gore has gotten lately? I mean really...he's HUGE; he has really packed on the fat since he lost the election 9 years ago (yes, I said lost...not robbed of). Do you know out of what fat is primarily composed? That's right...strings and strings of CARBON ATOMS chained together. As a matter of fact, fats and oils are almost 100% carbon, with a little hydrogen thrown in.

Al Gore is a walking, farting environmental carbon disaster, according to his own definition.

And then he consumes enough energy (at his home and in his travels) to power a small city, all while buying carbon credits from his own business to make himself feel better (and richer). He needs the money, though, to buy more steak dinners.

Gore calls on world business leaders to push for climate deal

NEW YORK -- Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore on Sunday urged a gathering of more than 500 business leaders to push for a global agreement on curbing global warming pollution, saying "Mother Nature does not do bailouts."

"The market signals on energy are badly misleading and wrong. We do not take into account the cost of pollution," Gore told the meeting of chief executives from global industry giants, including PepsiCo Inc.

"If there is no cost to be paid for the indiscriminate dumping of pollution into the earth's atmosphere, then it should be a surprise to no one that today we will dump another 70 million tons of global warming pollution into the thin shell of atmosphere surrounding our planet," Gore said.

Give Up Certain Foods and Alcohol to Fight Warming

I truly hope all this hogwash fails like the stupid BS it is! I will not stop eating food that I prefer; I will not stop drinking alcohol. I will not stop driving a gas-powered car. I will not stop eating tomatoes. I will keep using regular light bulbs as long as they're available. I’ll use the toilet paper that’s necessary. On each Earth Day or Earth Hour, I will turn on every light in my house and run my vehicles in the driveway too.

I can't wait to see this stupidity fail; it has already failed. The media just won't admit that their propaganda campaign is a disaster. Because their stupid little myth hasn’t taken root.

Burping of the lambs blows roast off menu

GIVE up lamb roasts and save the planet. Government advisers are developing menus to combat climate change by cutting out “high carbon” food such as meat from sheep, whose burping poses a serious threat to the environment.

Out will go kebabs, greenhouse tomatoes and alcohol. Instead, diners will be encouraged to consume more potatoes and seasonal vegetables, as well as pork and chicken, which generate fewer carbon emissions.

“Changing our lifestyles, including our diets, is going to be one of the crucial elements in cutting carbon emissions,” said David Kennedy, chief executive of the Committee on Climate Change.

Beavis & Butthead Creator to Lampoon Greenies

Good! It’s about time more voices join the chorus of those showing how dumb and moronic these alarmist lunatics really are. I will soon be driving a new muscle car, and I plan to blow the doors off of every hybrid and “Smart Car” I pass on the highway.

Making a Mockery of Being Green

The creator of ‘Beavis and Butt-Head’ and ‘King of the Hill’ has a new target: environmentalists

Director Mike Judge’s new animated television series “The Goode Family” is a send-up of a clan of environmentalists who live by the words “What would Al Gore do?” Gerald and Helen Goode want nothing more than to minimize their carbon footprint. They feed their dog, Che, only veggies (much to the pet’s dismay) and Mr. Goode dutifully separates sheets of toilet paper when his wife accidentally buys two-ply. And, of course, the family drives a hybrid.

Community activist Helen Goode (the voice of Nancy Carell) chats with a neighbor in the coming ABC animated series ‘The Goode Family,’ which pokes fun at a household of environmentalists living in the Midwest.

On Wednesday at 9 p.m., “The Goode Family” will have its premiere on ABC and become the first animated series on the network’s prime-time lineup since 1995 when “The Critic” starring Jon Lovitz ended its second season.

Eisenhower Lives Again in Green

I’ve written about this phenomenon long ago, though not in these words; sometimes I feel so ahead of some of my more established colleagues out there.

But the byline to the story could be my words—businesses see profits in the green movement.

Of course they do, as I mentioned before! Everyone who’s still espousing this bull has some angle, some benefit to gain by the scam’s continuation.

Follow the dollar to find the rat

The Climate-Industrial Complex

Some businesses see nothing but profits in the green movement.

Some business leaders are cozying up with politicians and scientists to demand swift, drastic action on global warming. This is a new twist on a very old practice: companies using public policy to line their own pockets.

The tight relationship between the groups echoes the relationship among weapons makers, researchers and the U.S. military during the Cold War. President Dwight Eisenhower famously warned about the might of the "military-industrial complex," cautioning that "the potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist." He worried that "there is a recurring temptation to feel that some spectacular and costly action could become the miraculous solution to all current difficulties."

This is certainly true of climate change. We are told that very expensive carbon regulations are the only way to respond to global warming, despite ample evidence that this approach does not pass a basic cost-benefit test. We must ask whether a "climate-industrial complex" is emerging, pressing taxpayers to fork over money to please those who stand to gain.

Meet the Green NBC Psychos

Most major media outlets still operating (because their biased advocacy hasn’t miraculously driven them from business yet) are almost open environmental alarmists and global warming advocates. They advocate simply by citing the oft-heard “consensus,” which any scientist worth her weight would tell you is meaningless in the realm of science and scientific debate. This means that most media regularly IGNORE the opposing scientific arguments against the theory…ahem, myth…of global warming.

It shouldn’t surprise you much to see GE’s CEO openly advocate in terms of alarmists’ propaganda; MSNBC is the channel that now regularly features the little green peacock logo, as opposed to the more traditional rainbow colored one.

Cap-and-Trade? A mystical Obama scam-tax; let’s call it a STAX. Cap-and-Trade is a fancy way of confusing the less brainy among us, so that we don’t recognize we’re paying more for things like electricity and fuel—the powerhouses of capitalism.

GE's Jeff Immelt: Global Warming 'Compelling'; Cap-and-Trade Most 'Effective' Way to Go

CEO of parent company of NBC Universal argues for carbon price to create 'certainty.'

General Electric (NYSE:GE) is the parent company of the major media conglomerate NBC Universal, which owns media outlets NBC, MSNBC and CNBC. At times that has led to the lines between corporate advocacy and journalism being blurred.

That was certainly the case when GE’s CEO Jeff Immelt appeared on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” May 20 to discuss the White House meeting of President Barack Obama’s 16-member Economic Recovery Advisory Board headed by former Federal Reserve chief Paul Volcker.

Immelt used his platform at CNBC to make the case for a cap-and-trade program to curb emissions – something Obama has called for and one Congressional committee is debating this week.

Shocker: White House Memo Questions Global Warming Action

Yes, it was one voice of many (so says the disclaimer). But remember, prominent liberals are on record saying that the economy must be cooled to fight global warming; they got their wish—the economy has cooled; so why all this panic to get something passed? Please go into it for yourself and discover the answer—it’s really quite obvious.

And why is there now a liberal voice among them who dares worry about the economic consequences of these policies? Because the nuts got their wish with the recent economic downturn; they know how low global warming ranks in the minds of average Americans compared to the economy. So, does it make sense to hurt the economy MORE with Draconian legislation aimed against a climate “problem” that doesn’t even exist? Can you guess how that will play out politically? How will it play out in the next election?

This is the reason for that lone voice in the memo. This is the reason that Congress watered down the cap-and-trade bill recently. They’re smart enough to try to avoid a repeat of the 1994 elections; if it can happen to them in 1994 and happen to Republicans in 2004 then it can come around for them again too. No matter what…they realize their control of the federal government is tenuous.

White House Memo Challenges EPA Finding on Global Warming

A U.S. Environmental Protection Agency proposal that could lead to regulating the gases blamed for global warming will prove costly for factories, small businesses and other institutions, according to a White House document.

The nine-page memo is a compilation of opinions made by a dozen federal agencies and departments before the EPA determined in April that greenhouse gases pose dangers to public health and welfare.

***

A White House aide and Office of Management and Budget spokesman said the cost critique came from a single federal agency, and the document did not reflect the administration's view. They declined to identify which agency challenged the EPA proposal.

***

Still, Republicans and business groups immediately used the document to bolster their arguments that controlling greenhouse gases would harm the economy.

They also highlighted parts of the document that fault how the EPA arrived at its conclusion that greenhouse gases endanger human health and welfare, since the gases by themselves do not pose any harm.

The memo says the EPA could have been "more balanced" in its analysis by also highlighting regions of the country that would benefit from global warming, such as the state of Alaska, which would have warmer winters. It also says the EPA appeared to stretch the precautionary principle to support regulation despite the "unprecedented uncertainty" in linking emissions of greenhouse gases and the warming that will result to health effects.

"It really appears to me that the decision was based more on political calculation than on scientific ones," said Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., who called the document "a smoking gun" during a hearing Tuesday on the Obama administration's proposed budget for EPA.

Dems Cut Plans for Warming Laws

One definitely gets the sense by reading this article’s headline that the media isn’t happy with the Democrats.

This bill, if it does pass in its weaker form, will STILL be a travesty against John and Jane America; you can count on one irrefutable aspect of capitalism that the media will definitely not tell you about: Affected corporations will not pay…they will pass on the additional cost to the consumer in the form of higher prices, which means this is an indirect tax on all of us who consume products and services in America.

All of this because of a lie; CO2 does not cause the Earth to warm!

House Dems scale back plans to curb global warming

WASHINGTON (AP) - House Democratic leaders are scaling back plans to curb global warming and make the transition to cleaner energy in the hopes that they can get a bill passed this year.

Rep. Ed Markey, D-Mass., and Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., announced Tuesday evening the outlines of a deal that they said would ensure the legislation will please both environmental and industry groups and have the support of moderate Democrats on the House Energy Committee.

To do so, they have lowered targets for renewable energy, will require a smaller reduction by 2020 in the emissions blamed for global warming, and will give away valuable permits to release pollution to electricity distribution companies and auto manufacturers.

More Swine 'I Told You So'

Swine Flu...throw it on top of Y2K, global warming, SARS, bird flu, and so on. A media-generated fear frenzy.

As the World Health Organization raised its infectious disease alert level Wednesday and health officials confirmed the first death linked to swine flu inside U.S. borders, scientists studying the virus are coming to the consensus that this hybrid strain of influenza -- at least in its current form -- isn't shaping up to be as fatal as the strains that caused some previous pandemics.

Wacko Plan: Stop Using Words ‘Global Warming’

So, since ‘global warming’ as a social reprogramming scheme is falling on deaf ears, what is the environmental movements’ plan to save anthropogenic global warming from the dustbin of similar overhyped nothings like swine flu, Y2K, bird flu, and SARS? Why, change the name, of course!

In other words, they wish to CONCEAL their real intentions to keep the dream of government control of your consumption habits in check (i.e., restrict capitalism and replace with socialism). The best way to obscure one’s real intentions is to play the ‘name game,’ a subject with which these slime are all too familiar.

My brothers, sisters, and I—those of us who fight global warming stupidity in the blogosphere because no one in the mainstream media will do it—will be there to resist this clandestine operation, however. No matter what one changes the name to, if one insinuates that manmade carbon dioxide is fueling a new doomsday, we’ll be there to excoriate all shaggy-haired liberals who hype such BS.

Seeking to Save the Planet, With a Thesaurus

WASHINGTON — The problem with global warming, some environmentalists believe, is “global warming.”

The term turns people off, fostering images of shaggy-haired liberals, economic sacrifice and complex scientific disputes, according to extensive polling and focus group sessions conducted by ecoAmerica, a nonprofit environmental marketing and messaging firm in Washington.

Instead of grim warnings about global warming, the firm advises, talk about “our deteriorating atmosphere.” Drop discussions of carbon dioxide and bring up “moving away from the dirty fuels of the past.” Don’t confuse people with cap and trade; use terms like “cap and cash back” or “pollution reduction refund.”
