Even after all the empirical and actual evidence (not to mention scandals), the elitist kooks out there--propagandizing under a veil they call "science"--refuse to acknowledge that their little demonize-CO2 escapade has failed. No one--except for liberal elitists--is falling for the BS any longer.

This blog has covered numerous dire climate predictions in just three short years, ranging from 18 months (Prince Charles) to now 1000 years. Of course, we've seen that the dingbat known as Prince Charles was proven wrong so early that he had to modify his 18-month prediction a few times; I have no idea upon what authority he feels he can make predictions and be taken seriously...but the media sure takes him seriously.

But there have been many predictions from so-called knowledgeable scientists. So, who's right? Which one of these geniuses do we believe? Are Americans really this stupid? Our history is full of idiot religious leaders prophesying the end times, which never came to pass. In my opinion, there's no difference between these religious zealots and the climate zealots. Climate change is the new religion, and it DEMANDS faith from its followers.

Even if humans stop producing excess carbon dioxide in 2100, the lingering effects of global warming could span the next millennia. The results? By the year 3000, global warming would be more than a hot topic - the West Antarctic ice sheet could collapse, and global sea levels would rise by about 13 feet (4 meters), according to a new study.

Using a computer model, researchers looked at two scenarios - an end to humans' industrial carbon dioxide emissions by 2010 and by 2100 - stretched out to the year 3000.

Even if humans were to stop emitting excess carbon dioxide - or if they figured out a way to completely capture it - the effects of global warming would continue to accumulate. That's because previously emitted carbon dioxide lingers in the atmosphere and the oceans, unlike land, warm only gradually, according to one of the study researchers, Shawn Marshall, an associate professor of geography at the University of Calgary.

Climate Revisionism and the Church of Warming

When was the last time you ever thought you'd see liberal-leaning types defend a flawed theory much the way that conservative religious zealots defend their sometimes fanatical religious practices?

Global warming (including all of its many aliases--climate change, AGW, global climate disruption, etc.) has turned into a religion of the left. It has many of the hallmarks of a cult-like religion: the now discredited 'Bible of Warming'...the IPCC reports; the scandal-ridden professional prognosticators of the CRU, IPCC, and NASA (think Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Bakker, and many others ); the Climate Inquisition known as the "Consensus," which would love to destroy any professional scientist who dares to speak a contrary word; the coming 'Climate Armageddon,' featuring the end-times as a result of the world's love of capitalism; the 'Climate Anti-Christ,' which would be anyone of prominence coming out against global warming; the 'Climate Messiah,' which is none other than Al Gore (no disrespect intended to the real Christ of two millennia ago); a 'Climate Holy Spirit' in the form of the Green Fad that is currently ongoing (including forms of 'Climate Redemption' such as dumb global warming solutions); religious articles of faith and holy relics, such as ice cores, tree rings, and urban-island temperature measurements; predictions of things to come (simply moved forward in time when they don't come to pass...just like real religious zealots); the demand for unquestioning faith of its followers; and the false prophets and disbelievers...like me, for example. These are all elements of religion that global warming--as a political movement--now possesses.

Given that much of the 'evidence' and most 'predictions' have been exposed as bogus or just plain WRONG, you'd think it would shake the faith of climate alarmists. What occurs is that the believers REVISE predictions and expectations based on the exposed flaws of past predictions (think 'loss of snow and ice' and 'increased hurricanes'...which have been failed predictions). This is exactly what's done in religion today; this is what's done by those who love Nostradamus--make reality fit the template (i.e., make the square peg fit the round hole). Everything is REVISED to fit the template. I call it 'Climate Revisionism.' It's the reason that believers want to cast away the term 'global warming' for 'climate change' or 'global climate disruption.' That way, they can't be wrong. Any weather or climate phenomenon deemed 'unusual' can be used to fit the template, whether associated with winter (cold), summer (heat and cyclones), or somewhere in-between (thunderstorms and tornadoes).

This is a big problem for those who see human-caused global warming as an irreversible result of the Industrial Revolution's reliance on carbon-based fuels. Based on global warming theory — and according to official weather forecasts made earlier in the year — this winter should be warm and dry. It's anything but. Ice and snow cover vast parts of both Europe and North America, in one of the coldest Decembers in history.

A cautionary tale? You bet. Prognosticators who wrote the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC, global warming report in 2007 predicted an inevitable, century-long rise in global temperatures of two degrees or more. Only higher temperatures were foreseen. Moderate or even lower temperatures, as we're experiencing now, weren't even listed as a possibility.

Since at least 1998, however, no significant warming trend has been noticeable. Unfortunately, none of the 24 models used by the IPCC views that as possible. They are at odds with reality.

Scientists Turn To Hollywood to Prove Global Warming?

Wouldn't you think that scientists would simply rely on quality scientific data, ethical judgment, and truth to prove their theories? Well, since ethical scandals have rocked the very bedrock upon which global warming was constructed, faith and trust in the so-called consensus has been shaken in the public's mind.

Sensing this shaken faith in their flock (because global warming is the new religion of the left), scientists are turning to Hollywood to make their case. They're turning to a bunch of people who pretend for a living? You scientists don't need any help from pretenders; you've been pretending all along.

The news keeps coming, even as most mainstream news organizations REFUSE to touch these tidbits of reality. They're making their own reality--one of bullshit.

Climate alarmists conjured a world where nothing was certain but death, taxes and catastrophic global warming. They used this presumed scientific certainty as a bludgeon against the skeptics they deemed "deniers" -- a word meant to have the noxious whiff of Holocaust denial.

All in the cause of hustling the world into a grand carbon-rationing scheme. Any questions about the evidence for the cataclysmic projections, any concerns about the costs and benefits were trumped by that fearsome scientific "consensus," which had "settled" the important questions.

It has been a bad—make that dreadful—few weeks for what used to be called the "settled science" of global warming, and especially for the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change that is supposed to be its gold standard.

Jo Nova Responds to New Scientist's "Denier-gate" Story

Alarmists at the New Scientist, sensing their reputations are in big trouble following all the recent mounting scandals (including Climategate), have decided to respond by creating "Denier-gate" out of thin air (as if they hadn't done that years ago). However, Jo Nova does a phenomenal job of parrying the ad hominem attacks against climate skepticism by turning the tables on the global warming cultists. She keeps bringing them back to the fundamental question: Is CO2 in its current quantity within our atmosphere warming the planet? Let's talk evidence, not "debate's over," not bluster, swearing, name-calling, etc.

The answer from alarmists is: "DENIER!! How can you question the CONSENSUS? The debate's over!" Get the picture? Where is the scientific debate?!? Without the name-calling?

And spot the appearance of the mythical “HUGE body of evidence”. Can anyone at New Scientist find that one mystery paper with empirical evidence showing that carbon causes major warming? Just ONE? That’s major warming, not minor. And that’s empirical, i.e., by observation, not by simulation.

New Scientist’s method is not to look at the evidence, but to look at the behavior of the sceptics. Did you see the black hole of ad hominem that this once esteemed journal just stepped into? Who to trust indeed? Let’s trust people who can reason, and scientists who don’t hide their data. It doesn’t matter how “sceptics behave”; it matters whether the data can be independently analyzed and interpreted; whether the conclusions are robust. But, since the data is g-o-n-e , no one can verify anything. So in a way, it does come down to “trust”: In the new quasi-religious form of science, you have to trust those who hold the global data. But the diehard believers in the global warming religion are slow to shake their zealotry.

WASHINGTON (AP) - A blizzard battered the Mid-Atlantic region on Saturday, quickly dumping large amounts of snow on that piled up on roadways and toppled trees onto apartment buildings and cars.

Officials urged people to huddle at home for the weekend, out of the way of crews trying to keep up with a storm that forecasters said could be the biggest for the nation's capital in modern history. A father and son were killed in Virginia when a tractor-trailer struck and killed them after they stopped to help another driver.

A record 2 1/2 feet or more was predicted for Washington. As of early Saturday, 10 inches of snow was reported at the White House, while parts of Maryland and West Virginia were buried under more than 20 inches. Forecasters expected snowfall rates to increase, up to 2 inches per hours through Saturday morning.

Blizzard warnings were issued for the District of Columbia, Baltimore, parts of New Jersey and Delaware and some areas west of the Chesapeake Bay.

Maryland budgeted about $60 million, and had already spent about $50 million, Gov. Martin O'Malley said. Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, who has been in office less than a month, declared his second snow emergency, authorizing state agencies to assist local governments. As of early Saturday, some parts of Virginia had already seen more than 18 inches of snow.

The snow comes less than two months after a Dec. 19 storm dumped more than 16 inches on Washington. Snowfalls of this magnitude - let alone two in one season - are rare in the area. According to the National Weather Service, Washington has gotten more than a foot of snow only 13 times since 1870.

The heaviest on record was 28 inches in January 1922. The biggest snowfall for the Washington-Baltimore area is believed to have been in 1772, before official records were kept, when as much as 3 feet fell, which George Washington and Thomas Jefferson penned in their diaries.

In Washington, tourists made the best of it Friday, spending their days in museums or venturing out to see the monuments before the snow got too heavy.

In an interview with The Mail on Sunday, Dr Lal, the co-ordinating lead author of the report’s chapter on Asia, said: ‘It related to several countries in this region and their water sources. We thought that if we can highlight it, it will impact policy-makers and politicians and encourage them to take some concrete action.

‘It had importance for the region, so we thought we should put it in.’

Mr Gore said that to avoid the worst ravages of climate change world leaders would have to come together again to set more drastic reductions than those now planned.

“Even a final treaty will have to set the stage for other tougher reductions at a later date,” he said. “We have already overshot the safe levels of CO2 in the atmosphere.”

A map of how California will be affected by climate change in the future was unveiled yesterday by state governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The map, which demonstrates the devastating effects of global warming in just a century, shows how San Francisco Airport would be completely underwater if sea levels were to rise by 150cm (60in).

With the world losing the battle against global warming so far, experts are warning that humans need to follow nature's example: Adapt or die.

Adapting to rising seas and higher temperatures is expected to be a big topic at the U.N. climate-change talks in Copenhagen next week, along with the projected cost — hundreds of billions of dollars, much of it going to countries that cannot afford it.

Remember...Galileo was eventually silenced as well by religious authorities; now, the new religion is global warming, and its authorities are attempting to silence the few, brave voices willing to state the truth--global warming is one of the greatest scams (maybe the greatest in history) ever perpetrated on mankind; it must be the greatest in history, because it's a worldwide phenomenon of deceit, thanks to the flow of misinformation through the Internet and other electronic media venues.

Hurricane Expert Says His Global Warming Views Haven't Affected University's Support

William Gray, a professor emeritus at Colorado State, is a skeptic of man-made global warming and once said that pro-global warming scientists are "brainwashing our children." An article Monday by the Houston Chronicle that was cited by FOX News claimed that Gray's views had prompted the university to stop promoting his renowned annual North Atlantic hurricane forecasts. The Chronicle quoted a memo Gray sent the university last year accusing it of trying to stifle his views on global warming, but Gray issued a statement Tuesday saying that his status at the university hadn't changed.

I believe the source of manmade climate change theory started off innocently enough. But somewhere along the way, idiots (meaning mostly politicians and politically connected scientists) grabbed the newborn theories of some climatologists and ran like the Gipper toward the end zone; the snowball effect was in full force, and it has now gained a life of its own. It has become biblical and practically heretical to question.

Remember the “8 glasses of water a day” myth? That was recently exposed as garbage too, but how many of you had your doctor or “someone smart” tell you to drink that much for your health?

How many of you right now are declaring what I say on manmade climate change, AGW, or global warming to be sacrilege? Forget about me and examine yourself internally. On what basis do you dismiss me as denier, cynic, flat-earther, etc.? (Call me realist.) Is it your own determination, or have you decided what you’ve been told by the “consensus” via the media is correct? Do you have the sense that I should be silenced? Drawn-and-quartered? Branded with the Scarlet Letter (i.e., "D" for denier)? Is the time for debate really over? If so, why has it been shut down and by whose authority?

Real science never stops debating (look at all the continual debates in other scientific endeavors—from dinosaur extinctions to sources of life), and yet we’ve been told by “really smart people” that the consensus has deemed scientific debate over; therefore, we’re no longer allowed to dissent, debate, and discuss this shaky issue that seems to beckon for “immediate, critical action.” The very basis of science has been kicked to the curb by politicians, who have found a unique opportunity and will protect the idea (whether it’s real or imagined) vigorously.

All of you with global warming anxiety will just have to deal with it; the elites who are shoving this down your throat need you anxious so that you’ll demand unnecessary governmental action, which gives them (politicians and politically-connected) a toehold to expand the programs (both governmental and scientific) needed to “fight” something that isn’t even real. The scientist needs the grant money to continue earning a buck through research. The politician needs to manage governmental programs, whether the need is real or imagined for those programs, because governmental programs provide a basis for power (and ultimately wealth).

If the collective human consciousness thinks global warming is real then it will be real enough for “the smartest among us” to be granted by us the authority to save the planet using our resources (i.e., taxes). Use your brain! Think! Study it for yourself. Don’t just believe what you’re told—by me or anyone else!

Don’t be like this poor, tree-hugging plastic surgery victim in the news story. Aliens aren’t invading. Bigfoot won’t stomp on you. Y2K did not cause worldwide panic. Bird Flu is not ravaging the countryside. Saccharin is not making tumors inside us. Eight glasses of water per day are unnecessary; please drink when you’re thirsty. Light bulbs won’t save the planet. SUVs aren’t evil. The Earth’s temperature is not out of control. The apocalypse is not at hand.

I guess the warmaholics got the maximum use out of declaring us AGW skeptics as "Holocaust deniers." Now, we've been labeled as "flat earthers" in an attempt to silence us, make us seem stupid, and put us at imagined odds with the "rest of the world."

Of course, I can easily reverse this, because believing in manmade climate change is like believing in a flat earth. It's like believing that the Earth is the center of the universe, whereby we must invent elaborate models so that the observed movements of heavenly bodies continue to make sense according to our beliefs. In this case, we have to create elaborate models to keep the theory of AGW afloat.

Galileo suffered as we deniers are now; in those days, the Roman Catholic Church tormented him. Today, the Church of Global Warming with Al Gore as its head is tormenting any who dare say, "nope, it's BS."

Again, we come back to debate based on science, which we've been denied. No one wants debate; they want silence--our silence and conformity.
