A storm system off the Northeast Coast will unleash a paralyzing blizzard along a vast swath of the I-95 corridor today.

The storm is no joke and threatens to shut down major highways in the region and could close some major airports, creating a nightmare for those souls heading home after the Christmas holiday.

MOSCOW, Dec 26 (Reuters) - Moscow's Domodedovo airport was closed and thousands of Muscovites were left without power on Sunday after a heavy overnight snowfall, the RIA Novosti news agency said.

It quoted an airport spokeswoman as saying flights at the airport, Russia's busiest, were halted after two electricity substations were knocked out.

"The airport service is suspended," the spokeswoman, Elena Galanova, was quoted as saying, adding that it was not clear when operations would resume.

The Moscow United Electric Grid Company said about 100,000 people in the region were affected by power outages, according to RIA.

The temperature in Moscow hovered around zero degrees Celsius on Saturday and early Sunday. Some rail services were also disrupted.

Where's their poll of 100% of the world's scientists to show that >50% believe CO2 is causing warming? There isn't such a poll to demonstrate this claimed consensus. I, however, can point you to an online petition where >31,000 scientists believe CO2 is NOT warming the planet. Where's Reuters' evidence to back up their "most scientists" propaganda claim?

Alarmists at the New Scientist, sensing their reputations are in big trouble following all the recent mounting scandals (including Climategate), have decided to respond by creating "Denier-gate" out of thin air (as if they hadn't done that years ago). However, Jo Nova does a phenomenal job of parrying the ad hominem attacks against climate skepticism by turning the tables on the global warming cultists. She keeps bringing them back to the fundamental question: Is CO2 in its current quantity within our atmosphere warming the planet? Let's talk evidence, not "debate's over," not bluster, swearing, name-calling, etc.

The answer from alarmists is: "DENIER!! How can you question the CONSENSUS? The debate's over!" Get the picture? Where is the scientific debate?!? Without the name-calling?

And spot the appearance of the mythical “HUGE body of evidence”. Can anyone at New Scientist find that one mystery paper with empirical evidence showing that carbon causes major warming? Just ONE? That’s major warming, not minor. And that’s empirical, i.e., by observation, not by simulation.

Global Warming Car Has Brake Problems

Owners of the Toyota Prius--the goofy, little, egg-shaped "Green Fad" car--now must face the fact that all the carbon emissions they supposedly saved by driving that mercury-poisoned crap will now be lost on the carbon emissions required to repair their brakes.

Anyone want to do the math? How much carbon will be emitted when 300,000 Prius owners must haul their little puke cars in to have the brakes replaced? They'll need loaner cars while theirs is repaired. Will the loaner be another Prius, or, more likely, a run-of-the-mill gas-guzzler? How much carbon to get the new parts designed, manufactured, and then delivered to each dealer? How much carbon required in raw electricity to handle all the various details of a massive vehicle recall?

I don't believe any of that will hurt anything, but I wonder if they've pondered it themselves?

One must admit that it's ironic. It's like rain on your wedding day, or a free ride when you've already paid...

You see? The developing countries just want the developed countries (like us) to PAY UP. This is all about PAYING UP, no matter which way you look at it or what you believe about the science. The UN Copenhagen climate talks are in disarray today after developing countries reacted furiously to leaked documents that show world leaders will next week be asked to sign an agreement that hands more power to rich countries and sidelines the UN's role in all future climate change negotiations.

The document is also being interpreted by developing countries as setting unequal limits on per capita carbon emissions for developed and developing countries in 2050; meaning that people in rich countries would be permitted to emit nearly twice as much under the proposals.

The so-called Danish text, a secret draft agreement worked on by a group of individuals known as "the circle of commitment" – but understood to include the UK, US and Denmark – has only been shown to a handful of countries since it was finalised this week.

The agreement, leaked to the Guardian, is a departure from the Kyoto protocol's principle that rich nations, which have emitted the bulk of the CO2, should take on firm and binding commitments to reduce greenhouse gases, while poorer nations were not compelled to act.

Pick any average Hollywood celebrity (who likely spouts this manmade climate BS whenever given the chance) and I’ll show you a carbon-spewing fool.

You can be certain of this—the proposed laws and regulations to “fight global warming” won’t restrict the lives of the hypocrites, because they are wealthy and powerful—the elites. You senseless, media-believing sheep will pay for the world’s carbon transgressions, however, because this has nothing to do with carbon and everything to do with power and wealth for the elites at your expense.

Proof? What about Gore’s “carbon credit” business? This is the little scam where he sells himself carbon credits from his own business to “offset” his “carbon footprint.” So, he pays himself to keep living the same way and proclaim a guilt-free lifestyle. In the same month that Logan International Airport hiked its parking rates by $1, Governor Deval Patrick is asking for another $2 parking "carbon fee" as part of his transportation overhaul filed this week.

The carbon fee, described on page 137 of Patrick's 141-page bill, would that mean a 20- or 30-minute trip to pick up a relative at Logan could cost $6 in parking alone, not including tunnel tolls, which could rise to as much as $7 if legislators fail to pass Patrick's other proposal to raise the gas tax. Three hours in a Logan garage would cost $18; all-day parking in a garage would run $26.

SCIENTISTS have warned that Christmas lights are bad for the planet due to huge electricity waste and urged people to get energy efficient festive bulbs.

CSIRO researchers said householders should know that each bulb turned on in the name of Christmas will increase emissions of greenhouse gases.

Others were delayed for hours. The worst case – more than 600 passengers trying to get to the Pacific Northwest were stuck on the train and in cold waiting rooms for nearly a day. Some said they had little food and water.

"We kept getting updated notifications that the toilets were frozen, the switching lines were frozen," a passenger said. "No one really knew what was going on."
