Once upon a time (in May 2008), Prince Charles--brilliant climate scientist and politically-clever royal who left Princess Diana for...ahem--declared that we had 18 months to save the world. Now over a year later with time enough to weigh the numerous technical variables that went into his previous prediction, Charles now says we have 96 months to save the Earth.
Really, do I need to say anything else about Charles or Al Gore or Dr. Hansen? They've so thoroughly discredited themselves as climate soothsayers that even the greatest moron among us should be able to figure it out.
Capitalism and consumerism have brought the world to the brink of economic and environmental collapse, the Prince of Wales has warned in a grandstand speech which set out his concerns for the future of the planet.
The heir to the throne told an audience of industrialists and environmentalists at St James's Palace last night that he had calculated that we have just 96 months left to save the world.
And in a searing indictment on capitalist society, Charles said we can no longer afford consumerism and that the "age of convenience" was over.
